Shopify provides its users with a wide range of features, such as inventory management, customer relationship management, discounts, payment processing, shipping options and more. On May 11th 2017, Shopify introduced its newest feature, Shopify Now. This feature will enable users to make purchases through Facebook Messenger by simply sending orders to their Facebook Messenger. This feature will allow users to connect their Facebook Messenger accounts to their Shopify accounts. Once these accounts are connected, they will be able to place orders through Facebook Messenger.

The way the feature works is that if a user sends an order to their Facebook Messenger via WhatsApp or another app, the order will be sent to Shopify’s messaging bot. The user will then receive a message from the chatbot that thanks them for the order and if they would like to complete the purchase or review their order. After this, the user will then be asked if they want to go ahead with the purchase or want to cancel it. If they choose to go ahead with the purchase, they will need to enter their credit card information into the chatbot and confirm if the order is correct. They will then be shown a confirmation screen asking if they are 100% sure that they want to place the order. The user will then receive a receipt via Facebook Messenger and a notification on their phone informing them that the order has been completed. The whpe process is very easy and convenient.

This feature is beneficial for both companies and customers alike because it allows companies to reach out to users who have not heard of them before and users can be assured that they won’t forget about that cop shirt that they saw in a message thread.
