Zendesk Sell offers a number of features including a call center, chat backend, live quoting, product catalogs, quote templates, pricing calculators, and more.
In order to create a seamless order process from start to finish, it’s important to have a smooth syncing between the different platforms invpved in the process. In this case study, we will discuss how Zendesk Sell integrated with Shippo to make syncing orders easier for their users.
Zendesk Sell is a B2B SaaS company that works directly with businesses to help them improve their sales processes. One of their services is a Web-based ecommerce platform that combines product catalogs, marketing automation, and a call center into a single interface. According to Zendesk’s website, “Zendesk Sell empowers you with everything you need to transform your sales process from start to finish.” In addition to the features mentioned above, Zendesk Sell also offers a quote template builder which allows users to build custom quotes for each of their customers. Because of the integration of the Zendesk Sell platform with other websites like Amazon or eBay, customers can use these templates while ordering their products on these sites. These templates are often used when providing customers with quotes for bulk orders.
Previously, Zendesk Sell users were able to create an invoice for each individual shipment using the quote templates mentioned above. However, this was inefficient because it caused users to take extra time completing each individual invoice instead of concentrating on providing excellent customer service. This method also prevented users from having access to all of the information they needed about each order before creating their invoices. After integrating Shippo into their platform, Zendesk Sell users can sync their orders with Shippo’s shipping API so they no longer need to create invoices for each shipment. Instead, they can simply enter the tracking number of the shipment in their system and the invoice will automatically be created in their system after the shipment has been sent out. Once the shipment has arrived at its destination, the user will get an update that the shipment has been delivered. The user can then mark the shipment as delivered in their system and move onto other tasks without needing to complete another invoice for that order. Since the Zendesk Sell platform integrates with Shippo’s API, Zendesk Sell users can now access additional information about each order in their system rather than needing to create an invoice for each order separately. This allows users to focus more on providing excellent service to their customers rather than needing to worry about entering information in multiple places when there are errors in the order process. For example, if one part of an order gets delayed, users can check their Shippo dashboard to see which part of the shipment is delayed without having to go into each individual order to see which parts are delayed versus which are not. Instead of needing to manually update an invoice in their system after making changes to an order, users can quickly adjust any changes needed by simply updating the order in Shippo’s dashboard whenever they want adjustments made. By integrating Shippo’s shipping API into their system, Zendesk Sell users have been able to streamline their process by avoiding unnecessary steps in creating invoices for shipments and being able to completely change orders whenever needed without needing to manually update multiple invoices for each individual order. By freeing up time spent on paperwork, Zendesk Sell users have been able to spend more time working with customers on improving their sales processes and increasing sales overall.
