Let’s start with a short description of Shipcloud and OneSignal. Shipcloud is an all-in-one shipping software that helps businesses manage shipping in a better way by automating their shipping processes. Shipcloud offers one-stop spution to fulfill all their shipping needs, from buying shipping labels to managing shipments. You can integrate OneSignal with Shipcloud to send push notifications to the customers about the status of their shipment.
I will discuss how Shipcloud integrates with OneSignal to manage the shipment process.
First, you will have to install OneSignal on your website so that you can send push notifications to your customers. We will discuss how to do this later. Now, let’s look at how Shipcloud integrates with OneSignal:
First, you will have to create a Shipcloud app on OneSignal dashboard. After creating an app, you will have to get the API key from your Shipcloud app. Once you have the API key, you can use it in both OneSignal and Shipcloud dashboards. In OneSignal dashboard, you will find ‘Integrations’ tab under which you can add both oAuth and token based integration. In oAuth integration, you will have to enter the URL where you want OneSignal to send the authorization request. On the other hand, in token based integration, you will have to enter the access token received from your Shipcloud app. However, you can use either of them but we recommend using oAuth integration if you don’t have access to your Shipcloud application. This is because, if the user has not logged into your website, then he/she won’t be able to grant permissions. You can then add your application on your Shipcloud account from here. Once you have done this, you will have to add a new Shipping Group within your application. Then, add the customers who are eligible for receiving push notifications about their shipments. Next, select ‘OneSignal’ as your preferred push notification system.
You can now send push notifications to your customers whenever they need to know about their shipments.
The process to integrate Shipcloud and OneSignal may seem complicated and intimidating. This is why Appy Pie Connect has come up with a simple, affordable, and quick spution to help you automate your workflows. Click on the button below to begin.
