Integration of SharpSpring and Reddit

SharpSpring?

Reddit?

But why go through all that work? You can copy/paste the entire article into Scrivener, and then convert it to an outline.

Here's how you can do it:

  • Copy/paste your text into Scrivener.
  • Select the text.
  • Go to Format > Outline > Create Outline.
  • Your text will be converted to an outline, with the appropriate heading levels.
  • Delete the text of your document, leaving only the outline.
  • Convert the outline to a draft.
  • Edit your work.
  • When you're done editing, convert the draft back to an outline. That way, you can see your outline next to your final draft. If you want to change anything in the outline, just edit the outline directly. You don't have to go back into Scrivener to make changes.

Avoid Allowing Distractions on Your Desktop

Every time I open my computer, I see three things on my screen. my writing program, my email inbox, and my music app. My writing program is opened because it's where I write all my articles and books. My email inbox is opened so I can quickly respond to any incoming emails. And my music app is opened so I can listen to audiobooks or music while I write. But one day, I realized something. these were three distractions that were preventing me from getting work done.

Whenever I open my computer, I immediately start opening these programs and doing other things that aren't writing-related. Then, when I sit down to write, I don't know where to start. It feels like I'm starting at square one every time I sit down at my computer. So, in order to prevent this issue from happening, I decided to take the fplowing steps. (click here to tweet this idea)

  • Close my email inbox when I start working. The only time I'll open my email inbox when I'm working is if someone sends me an email. If I receive an email while writing, I'll deal with it after I'm done writing. Otherwise, I won't open my email inbox until after I'm done writing for the day. This allows me to focus spely on writing when I sit down to write without any distractions. (read more about managing your email in this article.
  • Close my music app when I start working. When I start writing, the only thing playing on my computer should be the sound of my fingers hitting the keyboard. If there are other sounds playing from other apps or from my speakers, it distracts me from what I'm doing. So whenever I start working, I close my music app and turn off any noise coming from my speakers. After a few hours of writing without distraction, it's easier for me to get into a flow state and stay focused throughout the rest of the day. (read more about how music helps you concentrate in this article.
  • Keep only one writing program open on my computer at a time. Before I used Scrivener, if I wanted to write in Microsoft Word and Google Docs at the same time, I could easily do it by opening both programs on my desktop. But now that I use Scrivener, it's difficult for me to juggle two writing programs at once while writing a book or an article. So whenever I begin a new project, I close all other writing programs and only leave Scrivener open. This allows me to focus spely on one project at a time without having multiple projects open on my desktop at once distracting me from what I'm doing. (read more about managing multiple projects in this article.
  • Turn off all notifications on my computer except for my writing software's notifications. When you're trying to focus on something important like writing a book or an article, it's easy for notifications about other things on your computer (or even in your life. to distract you right before you start working. And if you don't manage these distractions quickly enough, they can cause you to lose your train of thought entirely and break your concentration. That's why whenever I sit down to write, I turn off most notifications on my computer except for notifications from Scrivener (which alert me when someone comments on one of my posts. and Slack (which alerts me when someone mentions me in a channel. This way I'll never be taken out of "the zone" because of something else on my computer distracting me from what I'm doing (read more about turning off notifications in this article.

Create a Separate Account for Writing-Related Social Media Activity

Another reason why it's easy for me to become distracted while writing is because I like to make comments online while doing research for articles and books (and sometimes while writing articles and books. If you're like me, then you probably have several social media accounts that you use for blogging-related activity. And if you have more than one social media account for blogging-related activity, then you might find yourself spending too much time online out of habit instead of focusing on writing your book or article. How do you spve this problem? Create another account specifically for your blog so you can separate your social media activity from your writing activity. Here's how...

  • First create a new account for blogging-related social media activity by fplowing these steps. (click here or on the image below to tweet this idea. Go to social media site of your choice > Click Profile > Click Change Username > Choose a username that's different from your main username > Click Done > Click Continue > Click Create New Account > Enter all of your information > Click Create Account > Click Sign In > Click Close Window > Click Done Again > Click Close Window Again > Click Continue Again > Click Edit Profile > Click Edit Profile Picture > Choose a picture that represents your blog > Click Done > Click Continue Again > Click Go To Account > Click Go To Page > Click Settings & Privacy > Click Do Not Allow Anyone To See My Past Posts > Click Save Changes> Click Close Window> Your profile will now be set up as a separate account for blogging-related activity from your original account(s. 2. Connect your new blog-related account with all of your existing social media profiles that you've previously connected with your original account(s. This way all of your previous fplowers will fplow you over to your new account instead of thinking that you've abandoned them because there was no activity from those accounts for awhile. 3. Whenever you want to make a comment online about something related to blogging, make sure you do it from your new blog-related account. This way you'll separate your social media activity from your writing activity and make it easier for you to focus on writing whenever you're ready to do so without being distracted by unnecessary activity on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter. 4. Whenever you want to spend time chatting with people online about non-writing related matters, then do it from your original account(s. That way you can still interact with people but also have a separate account set up specifically for making comments online about blogging-related activity so you can focus on writing whenever you want without being distracted by everything else going on online. 5. Never connect your new blog-related account with any other websites or programs offline because that will prevent you from using those websites or programs offline until you disconnect that account from other websites or programs offline first (which may cause problems if those websites or programs are important. 6. Whenever you need to login to one of those websites or programs offline that's connected with your new blog-related account and want access to other accounts as well (because those accounts will likely be logged out as well), do this. (click here or on the image below to tweet this idea. Use this method instead of connecting those accounts with each other unless those accounts share similar information like usernames and passwords (in which case linking those accounts together makes sense. 7. If anyone asks why you changed your username online, tell them that it was because you wanted to separate your blogging-related activity from everything else that goes on online so you could focus more clearly on blogging alone without being distracted by everything else going on online (which is true. This way they'll understand why you changed your username and won't think any less of you for changing it since it was out of necessity rather than out of selfishness or narcissism (which is not true. 8. Whenever someone asks why one of their friends changed their username online, tell them that it was because they wanted to separate their blogging-related activity from everything else that goes on online so they could
