For example, if a user creates a document in his or her personal Google Drive account and then shares it with other users, those users can view the document from within ServiceNow without needing to log into their personal Google Drive accounts.
In addition to improving cplaboration between users by integrating Google Docs into ServiceNow’s user interface, this integration also provides a more secure alternative to saving files locally on each user’s computer. If a user were to save a document on his or her computer in a fpder that was visible on his or her desktop or laptop, another user could access the document using that computer’s operating system and potentially view the document before the first user had finished editing the document on his or her computer. However, if the first user were to save the document in his or her Google Drive account instead of saving it locally on his or her computer, another user would not be able to view the document until the first user had finished editing it on his or her computer. In this way, saving files in Google Drive is a more secure way of storing data than saving them locally on individual computers.
