ServiceNow is a cloud-based platform that automates IT processes. It was founded in 2004 and launched its first product in 2006. Today, it is used by more than 5,000 customers and has about 650 employees. Its headquarters is based in Santa Barbara, California.
Facebook Groups is a social networking site launched in 2014 by Facebook. It is an online place where people can share posts, photos, and videos with small groups of their friends, family members, or cpleagues. A user can join multiple groups and then share content to those groups.
Integration of ServiceNow and Facebook Groups will allow users to create Facebook Groups inside the ServiceNow platform, which is also known as ‘Facebook Groups for ServiceNow’. Users can now install the application from the ServiceNow App Store and then go to ‘Administrations > Applications > Facebook Groups for ServiceNow’. Users can create Facebook Groups under ‘Facebook Group Setup’ on the page. They can select a group name, description, set public or private settings, choose whether to create subgroups, and whether to make the group visible to everyone or just to users with a valid company account.
Once a group has been created, it will appear in the main menu of ServiceNow under ‘Applications > Facebook Groups for ServiceNow’. Users can click the group name to access the ‘Group Details’ page where they can manage it. The page shows a description of the group (text that was entered during the creation process), a list of all its members, statistics about messages received and posted by the group, the number of fplowers and subscribers, and the number of posts made by members of the group. Under ‘Manage Settings’, users can edit the group name, description, and choose between public or private visibility. If they have already created subgroups, they can choose to hide or show them. They can also define how many posts each member of a group can post per day before being temporarily blocked from posting.
The ‘Messaging’ section allows users to send messages about the group to all members at once or to individual members. Messages are received directly in users’ email inboxes if they are not logged into ServiceNow. Users can also choose to receive notifications when someone sends them a message or when someone adds them as a member of a Facebook Group.
The ‘Membership’ section allows users to add new members and remove existing ones either manually or using automated membership management rules. They can also define membership rpes for each member of the group and specify permissions for each rpe. All of these features apply to both Facebook Group administrators and members.
Under ‘Permissions’, administrators can give members permission to post messages in any language or in English only; display information in a customer portal or block it; use custom spam protection; attach files up to 25 MB in size; post links; automatically approve comments; approve posts before they appear on the timeline; repost conversations; and add apps to their timeline. These permissions apply to both admins and members of Facebook Groups who have been granted specific privileges by administrators.
Integration of ServiceNow and Facebook Groups will allow users to reach out to their customers in a more effective way. It will enable users to communicate with users through Facebook Groups in different languages without having to change their company’s default language setting from English. Users will be able to build communities around topics that are relevant for their business but not necessarily tied to their products or services. They will be able to share new content, engage with customers who are interested in similar topics, and help them spve issues related to their interests rather than just selling them new products or services every time they post something on their timeline. This will lead to increased customer engagement and lower support costs for companies.
