Sendinblue is a French company that offers a cloud-based email marketing and transactional messaging spution. It was founded in 2010 by David Imbernon, Philippe Hartmann, and Olivier Bébin. They worked on the development of Sendinblue for over six years before launching it in the market. In the beginning, Sendinblue was meant for large businesses, but in early 2015 they decided to focus more on small and medium-sized businesses. In the recent years, demand for Sendinblue services has been increasing. The company is growing fast. Over the past 2 years they have doubled their customers base. At the end of November 2017, Sendinblue had a total of more than 10,000 customers. The Sendinblue headquarters are in Paris, France.
Microsoft Exchange is an email server made by Microsoft. The first version of Exchange was released in 1996. Almost immediately after its release, it became one of the leaders in the email market. Even today, many companies still use Microsoft Exchange server instead of third-party email servers.
Microsoft Exchange is used by individuals and companies all around the world. It can be installed either on-premises or in the cloud. The cloud version of the software is known as Microsoft Office 365. Microsoft Exchange can also be used with other services provided by Microsoft, such as Skype for Business, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business.
Before integration of Sendinblue and Microsoft Exchange, Sendinblue users could only send emails to Microsoft Exchange users via SMTP relay service. However, this method has its drawbacks because it sometimes causes delivery delays and errors. Sendinblue users were looking for a better way to integrate Sendinblue and Exchange. They wanted to use an option that would make their emails to be delivered faster and without errors.
The long-awaited integration finally arrived in June 2016 when Sendinblue announced that Microsoft Office 365 was added to the list of supported platforms. After this announcement, Sendinblue users could easily integrate Sendinblue with Microsoft Exchange using the POP/SMTP method or the IMAP/SMTP method. Both methods are very easy to set up and use. They offer multiple benefits which are discussed later in this article.
To set up Sendinblue integration with Microsoft Exchange, you need to sign up to both Sendinblue and Microsoft Office 365. Then you need to go to your Sendinblue account settings and click on “Settings” in order to find the integration section. Next you need to choose between POP/SMTP or IMAP/SMTP option depending on how you would prefer to integrate Sendinblue with Exchange. Then you need to provide details about your Microsoft Office 365 account. Fplow the instructions provided by Sendinblue in order to complete the integration process. If you are integrating your account manually instead of through APIs, then you may need to wait a little longer before you start seeing your emails in your Outlook client or in your Exchange online mailbox. If you are integrating your Sendinblue account via APIs, then you should not have any problems at all. This way of integration can take up to five minutes before it is ready for use.
After you have completed the integration process, you will be able to send emails directly from your Sendinblue account to your Office 365 mailbox or Outlook inbox using the same email addresses as before. <email_address>@sendinblue.com and <email_address>@sendinblue-mta.net (both domains are automatically configured for every new Sendinblue account. This means that you will not need to create new email addresses or create new lists of recipients for this integration method. All email addresses you already have will be automatically transferred to your Outlook client or your Office 365 mailbox (if you use Outlook online. Therefore, if someone emails you using one of those pd addresses, they will receive an autoreply from Office 365 or Outlook mailboxes stating that their email cannot be delivered due to a change in your email address and asking them to re-send their message using a different address if needed. This way of integrating your accounts makes it possible for you to save time and avoid mistakes caused by forgetting about those pd email addresses that you no longer use or want to use anymore. Note that if someone tries to reply to one of those pd addresses, they will receive an error message saying that their message has been undeliverable due to a change in your email address and asking them to re-send their message using a different address if needed. This way of integrating your accounts is useful if many people still email you using those outdated addresses even though you no longer use them yourself.
The second way of integrating Sendinblue with Office 365 is via POP/SMTP method. This method is also very easy to set up and use. It allows users to create a Sendinblue list containing all recipients they want to send emails to from their Office 365 mailbox or Outlook inbox. Once they have created their list, they can simply drag and drop it into their Sendinblue account in order to configure it with Sendinblue server using POP/SMTP method. This way of integrating your accounts allows you to create a list with all recipients who regularly email you so that you can easily send them emails from your Office 365 mailbox or Outlook inbox without having to add them one by one every time you create a new campaign from those platforms. This integration method is also very convenient if you have many recipients who access their emails from different platforms such as Apple Mail, Android Gmail, Thunderbird, or Yahoo Mail because once those recipients subscribe to your list, they will be able to receive all future emails from your campaigns as well as emails sent by other Sendinblue users who also use this integration method (POP/SMTP method. They will also be able to reply directly from Office 365 or Outlook mailboxes without having to go through Sendinblue servers first (and risk getting bounced. If someone replies directly to an email sent via POP/SMTP method, his/her message will not be sent through Sendinblue servers because he/she does not need them anymore (he/she will only need them if he/she wants to send an email; sending an email is not required for replying. Note that each time recipients sign up for your list using POP/SMTP method, they will get an autoreply saying that they can access their email using Outlook or Office 365 mailboxes instead of using Sendinblue servers if they wish so (or if their ISP blocks port 25. You can set up multiple lists for each domain that you have registered with Sendinblue (your main domain + aliases. so that you can easily send emails from different domains without having to create multiple lists every time you want to do so. Most importantly, this method allows users to manage their lists independently from other users’ lists since each recipient has his/her own unique link which is always valid regardless of changes in recipient’s list status (for example if someone unsubscribes from one list he/she subscribed to previously, he/she will still have access to all other lists he/she subscribed to later. The only drawback of this integration method is that it might not work properly if someone ends his/her subscription while being offline because information about his/her status change will not reach our servers until his/her next login attempt starts (which might take days. Also note that if someone replies directly to one of those emails sent via POP/SMTP method, his/her message will be lost because it won’t reach our servers (it will never get bounced.
The third way of integrating Sendinblue with Office 365 is via IMAP/SMTP method (sometimes referred as MAPI/SMTP method. This method is also very easy to set up and use (just like POP/SMTP method. It allows users to create a Sendinblue list containing all recipients they want to send emails to from their Outlook inbox or Office 365 mailbox (note that this
