According to their website, “Squarespace’s award winning website builder makes it easy for anyone to create an online presence for their business or craft.” The Squarespace software allows users to create professional websites with a variety of templates and designs. In addition to website creation, Squarespace offers hosting, domain name registration, email services, and other features. The company was founded in 2003 by Anthony Casalena, who still serves as CEO today. In 2013, the company raised $40 million in its Series C funding round led by Accel Partners. In my opinion, SendGrid and Squarespace are both very interesting companies for many reasons but for the purpose of this paper I will focus my discussion on the integration of their technpogy in the form of Email Marketing versus Web Design.
