SendGrid is an email delivery service that allows for the sending of transactional and marketing emails to customers, users, and subscribers. It was founded in 2009 by Jim Franklin and Ben Yoskovitz, and has since grown to be a leader in email delivery services. SendGrid offers their own product as well as a suite of tops that are integrated into third party providers such as Shopify, MailChimp, and Salesforce. Their headquarters are located in Boulder, Cporado.

Etsy?

Etsy is a marketplace for handmade, vintage, and one-of-a-kind products. It was founded in 2005 by Rob Kalin, Chris Maguire, and Haim Schoppman. The company is headquartered in Brooklyn, New York. They currently have over 1 million active sellers and 30+ million active buyers on the platform. In 2014, Etsy had $1.35 billion in sales and is projected to have $2.8 billion in sales by 2017. It is estimated that Etsy will reach $4 billion in sales by 2020.

Integration of SendGrid and Etsy

  • SendGrid can send emails to Etsy customers that are notifying them of items that are being spd on the Etsy platform. SendGrid can also send promotional deals to customers who have previously purchased from a seller's store. This will allow the customer to be informed of new products that they may be interested in purchasing.
