Amazon DynamoDB has two different types of tables, which are global tables and local secondary indexes. Global tables are replicated across multiple Amazon DynamoDB regions, so they can be accessed from any region where they are created. Local secondary indexes are not replicated across multiple regions. With the integration of the two services, users can send emails via Amazon SES while storing their data in Amazon DynamoDB.[6]
