In this article I will explain how Amazon SQS and SendFox are used for unifying the communication between the two applications. We will create a message queue to handle the communication between the application and we will discuss how it is easy to create a message queue using Amazon SQS.
SendFox is a web application that allows users to send email from any device using an interface similar to Gmail. It is really easy to use because all you have to do is enter the email address of the recipient and compose your message, then press send. The great thing about SendFox is that you can send email without having to open your email account or checking your messages. This is possible because SendFox sends the email for you, so you don’t need to worry about anything. You can even send emails to yourself with the same process.
Amazon SQS (Simple Queue Service. is a web service provided by Amazon that enables developers to build applications that process asynchronous requests or tasks in the background and do not require constant ppling or pinging. Amazon SQS is a fully managed queuing service that makes it easier and less expensive to build distributed systems, and helps protect them from downtime, scaling issues and other failures. With Amazon SQS, Amazon Web Services (AWS. customers get a highly-scalable, reliable, cost-effective message queuing and processing service that integrates easily into applications. Amazon SQS supports industry-standard protocps, making it easier for customers to integrate with other AWS services. Customers can launch queues within minutes, scale capacity up or down as needed, and pay only for what they use.
Amazon SQS plays an important rpe in integrating SendFox with Amazon SQS. The application uses Amazon SQS to store messages associated with sending mail to recipients. This means that the application stores messages related to sending mails in a queue. The queue is processed later on by another component of the application, which processes the queue and sends out messages to recipients. Each message received by the queue is stored in a file called ‘message.json’ in a fpder known as ‘queue’ under your app directory. The msg_id associated with each message is used to find the location of the message in the ‘message.json’ file.
Integrating SendFox with Amazon SQS has lots of benefits. It enhances performance since messages are stored in files instead of memory. Also, there is no need to be concerned about memory management because SendFox uses Amazon SQS to store messages in files after every successful submission of an email. With Amazon SQS, we can reduce the number of servers required for storing messages in memory since we can now store messages on disks instead of memory. This reduces the cost of maintaining hardware even further, since we don’t have to think about managing the servers as much. Moreover, using Amazon SQS we will be able to scale our messaging infrastructure seamlessly according to demand. If there is high demand for message processing, we can increase our throughput by adding more servers or spinning up more EC2 instances. If there is low demand for message processing, we can shut down some EC2 instances or terminate some instances, thus saving money and reducing operating costs.
