The fplowing steps will show you how to integrate Salesforce and Konnect Insights by writing custom code:

  • Go to Salesforce App Exchange and search for ‘Konnect Insights’. On clicking on the icon, it will take you to the page where you can buy a subscription for Konnect Insights. 2. To check whether the integration between Salesforce and Konnect Insights is successful, you can create a custom report in Salesforce by clicking on ‘Reports’ > ‘New Report’ > ‘Report Configurations’ and search for ‘Integrated Google Analytics’ report type. On clicking on this report type, it will give you an overview of all requests made by your integration. You can see that there are two requests being made by your integration. one to create a new Edge object and another to get all the fields for your Salesforce object. 5. To check whether your custom class is successfully integrated with Konnect Insights, you can go to “Free Trial Request” page located at http://www.google.com/analytics/free/index.html#url=analytics%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Fanalytics%2Fweb%2Freports%2Fdefault%2Fdashboard%2Fintegrated%2Fga%2F&account=111&report=true&mode=org&max_results=1000&start_date=2016-02-05&end_date=2017-02-05&metric=ga%2Corganic%2Cpageviews&dimensions=ga%2Corganic&metrics=ga%2Corganic&start-index=1&sort=ga%2Corganic&top-value=30&top-count=30&format=csv&prettyprint=true where account=111 is the account number of your Salesforce project and ga is the name of your Salesforce object which has been created in step 3 above. You will be able to check “Integrations” tab on the top right hand side of your analytics dashboard which shows that your custom class has been successfully integrated with Konnect Insights! 6. Now, every time you make any changes in your Salesforce object, those changes will be instantly reflected in your analytics dashboard without making any manual changes! 7. In order to test if your integration works properly, make a minor change in your field such as changing value of total sales amount field from $100000 to $105001 for example and you should be able to see this change reflected instantly in your analytics dashboard! 8. Now, you can start exploring other opportunities for further use of this integration! It is recommended to use this integration within a sandbox environment so that you can test its accuracy without affecting your live environment or causing any damage!
