In case organizations want their own servers hosting email archive then they will first have to sign up for IMAP by Connect services before integrating it with Salesforce. Once signed up for the service they will have to configure their existing email server with IMAP by Connect so that all outgoing mails originating from their mail server can be sent securely via IMAP by Connect’s mail server after encryption using SSL/TLS encryption protocp before reaching recipients’ mailboxes so that all such emails can be archived securely when they reach recipients mailboxes after being encrypted using SSL/TLS encryption protocp (as described below.
