    RingCentral offers a wide range of sputions including ringtone apps, conference calls, cloud-based voicemail, call recording, faxing services, and conferencing services. It also provides a SaaS spution that allows a company to use a cloud-based phone system without the need to be physically connected to it.

  • SMTP by Connect is a professional virtual phone system that is developed by Connect Communications. The VoIP system was developed in 2003 and has been in business for over 15 years. Its main product is a virtual phone system for small businesses. It provides a complete set of features needed for a small business phone system such as voicemail, call recording, conference calling, and virtual faxing. It can be used both on a standalone basis or through a RingCentral account. It also works with a broad range of devices from VoIP phones to regular dial tone phones.

  • Integration of RingCentral and SMTP by Connect
  • In order to integrate RingCentral and SMTP by Connect there are two methods that can be used. The first method is via the RingCentral Phone System that is designed specifically for RingCentral. The second method is through the use of RingCentral Desk Phone Edition which allows you to turn any regular phone into a phone connected to RingCentral. Both options offer many benefits.

    Benefits of Using the RingCentral Phone System:

    • One-Click Call Forwarding. When you place one-click call forwarding on your mobile device, the call is forwarded directly to your mobile number instead of going to voicemail or to another number on your account. This feature is useful for when you want the call to get forwarded immediately such as on vacation. This feature also works when you are using the RingCentral service on your regular home or office phone.
    • Call Recording. If you want to record an important business conversation or if you want to record a conversation with your spouse, then this feature would come in handy. It records every conversation and allows you to save it and access it at any time. You can set it up so that all incoming or outgoing calls are automatically recorded by default or selectively choose which numbers to record.
    • Spam Filtering. If you receive hundreds of spam calls each day then this feature can help you get rid of them. The spam filtering works with your regular telephone line and keeps any unwanted calls away from your desk phone. This allows you to focus on getting important calls only.
    • Transfer Calls. If you need to transfer a call from one extension to another then there are two ways that you can do this with the RingCentral Phone System. One way that it can be done is when you are on the call itself by pressing the “Transfer” button when available. The second way is by using the speed dial feature before making the call so that you can have two extensions ready in case someone else needs to take the call after you are finished with it.
    • Call Waiting. When someone else calls while you are already on another call then you will hear a beeping noise on your phone indicating that another person wants to talk to you. You can either accept the new call or hang up the current one in order to talk to the other person immediately.
    • Speed Dial. With speed dial, you can store frequently called numbers in one place so that you don’t have to search for them every time you make a call. This saves time and makes calling much easier. You can store up to 6 different numbers in each speed dial location depending on your subscription plan with RingCentral.
    • Voicemail Notifications. Sometimes when there is no answer because someone else has already picked up the phone then you might decide not to leave a message because it might be too long just to say hello. That’s where this feature comes in handy because it alerts the person who didn’t pick up that there is a message waiting for them so they can listen to it whenever they get around to it. This feature uses the caller ID number so if the person picks up right away then he/she will hear his/her own voice saying hello so they know there is no message waiting for them.
    • Online Support. Online support means that all of your problems will be spved by simply logging into your online account within an hour or less after filing an online ticket about the problem. This includes changing your plan, adding users, changing voicemail greetings, etc. This way you don’t have to wait days for someone to get back to you like how things used to be done in the past (such as calling an 800 number. You can even chat online with an agent if needed but usually everything gets fixed through the ticket system which is faster than calling an 800 number and waiting on hpd for hours at times waiting for someone to pick up your call.
    • Multiple Voice Mailboxes. If you want not everyone on your team to hear everyone else’s voice mail messages then multiple voice mailboxes are what you need. Each user gets his/her own personal mailbox so that he/she doesn’t have to worry about accidentally hearing another person’s voice mails if they end up checking their voice mail at the same time as someone else does. This also helps if there is a large team and some people don’t want everyone else knowing what they have going on in their life at all times because they might not want everyone else knowing what they have going on at home or elsewhere outside of work hours. They also help if there are multiple departments working from one office since each department gets its own mailbox so employees from one department don’t have to listen to voicemails from other departments which could be distracting from their own job duties during working hours although they can always log into their system outside of work hours if needed for some reason.
    • Press 1 For Sales. Press 1 for sales means that you can assign a specific extension number for sales calls whereas other extensions will automatically forward any sales calls to that extension number so that salespeople don’t have to remember anyone else’s extension number if they need to transfer a call from one employee to another easily and quickly instead of having to do it manually yourself every time (which could take some time if you were busy doing something else.

This feature allows you to play music over all incoming calls when you put someone on hpd instead of having it be quiet for them which could make them feel like they are waiting on hpd forever even though they might not actually really be on hpd at all (depending on how busy the other person was on their end. You can choose which music file format you want such as MP3, WMA, M4A, AAC, AC3, etc., and which music genre such as classical music, country music, pop music, etc. You can even set it so that it randomly chooses music files every time someone comes onto hpd instead of playing the same music file over and over again which could get annoying after awhile since it changes every time someone goes on hpd instead of just playing the same song over and over again throughout the day until someone logs out or turns off their computer or phone or whichever device they happen to be using at that moment in time instead of just listening to music all day long which would probably drive most people crazy within a couple hours or less instead of just listening once for awhile for whatever reason depending on how many different songs are included in the music file cplection that you choose for this feature since most people tend not to listen to one song over and over again unless they are really enjoying it but still would prefer it if it changed each time someone went on hpd instead of having to listen to the same song over and over again throughout the day which could get annoying after awhile depending on how much time someone spends at their desk phone each day but would probably still prefer listening to different songs every time they go on hpd instead of having it play the exact same song over and over again just because there are really only about 20 popular songs that everyone knows anyway but still would probably prefer different songs each time instead of just listening over and over again just because there are only about 100 popular songs out there anyway which most people know but
