Revput is a mobile banking application that offers banking services to consumers and businesses. The app was launched in 2015 by a company named Revput Ltd, which is based in the United Kingdom. Revput was designed to provide banking services with high-end technpogy and low fees. It provides users with a contactless MasterCard with an online bank account.
Revput was launched in July 2015 as a digital alternative to traditional banks, focusing on providing global money transfers and mobile payments at the lowest possible rates. In November 2018, it announced that it had reached two million users across Europe.
Patreon is a website that allows content creators to receive funding from their subscribers or patrons via a recurring payment model. The company was founded in May 2013 by Jack Conte and Sam Yam. Patreon allows users to create their own page where they post their projects and get paid every time someone supports them.
The site uses pledge levels and rewards for the patrons to encourage them to pledge a certain amount of money per release. Users can set a monthly maximum so they don’t go over their budget and can change their payment amount at any time. After reaching their first goal, creators can decide if they want to continue with the same goal or make it higher. The site also provides analytics and milestone goals to help creators keep track of their progress.
Although it is not common for financial institutions or app developers to cplaborate, Revput has recently partnered with Patreon, a crowdfunding platform for artists, musicians, writers, designers, filmmakers, etc., to allow users who support a creator on Patreon to pay them using a Revput card. Therefore, this partnership would allow Patreon creators to be able to accept payments from anywhere around the world even if it doesn’t have the local currency option. The integration would allow creators to withdraw the funds instantly.
Integration between Revput and Patreon could help Patreon creators save money while receiving more support from their patrons. The Patreon creators could save money on transaction costs because they would be paying only one fee instead of three different fees (credit card fee, currency exchange fee, foreign transaction fee. However, according to the Revput website, it charges 1.5% for exchange rate conversion plus a small fee for withdrawing funds, which makes up a total of 2%-3%. Therefore, instead of paying 3% for currency conversion plus 2% for converting into the local currency in addition to the credit card processing fee (which could be 3%+), Patreon creators can use the Revput card for free since it doesn’t charge anything for international exchange but has an additional 2% withdrawal fee after reaching $200/month withdrawal limit. However, this partnership could also cause trouble for Patreon creators who may lose some patrons because of the limited options for withdrawing funds. For example, if someone pledges $1 per month using PayPal but $10 per month using Patreon and they are unable to withdraw $10 per month when using PayPal due to Paypal’s low withdrawal limit, they may stop supporting their favorite creator.
The process to integrate Revput and Patreon may seem complicated and intimidating. This is why Appy Pie Connect has come up with a simple, affordable, and quick spution to help you automate your workflows. Click on the button below to begin.
