  • Thinkific is an online learning platform that allows instructors to create courses and students to enrpl in them. Instructors can use the platform to teach students via video lectures, live chat sessions, online group projects, quizzes, files and more.

  • Integration of QuickBooks Online and Thinkific
  • An instructor can integrate QuickBooks Online with Thinkific to create an online course. Students can subscribe to Thinkific’s service to receive access to the instructor’s online course. Thinkific offers features such as the ability to organize the course syllabus, record lectures, assign homework and tests, grade student work, and more. Once the instructor creates an online course on Thinkific, the instructor can embed an iFrame into the course’s page that will link directly to the instructor’s QuickBooks Online account. The iFrame will display all of the instructor’s company information such as company name, total revenue and profit and loss statements.

  • Benefits of Integration of QuickBooks Online and Thinkific
  • An instructor can prepare for class or a meeting by creating an iFrame in the Thinkific dashboard and linking it to their QuickBooks Online account. Instructors can adjust their settings so that when they launch a meeting, their QuickBooks Online account will automatically take up the full screen of whatever device that they are using. Instructors can then share their company data with their students during class or a meeting. Instructors also have the option of sending invitations to other instructors to join their session and cplaborate on the same screen using the Share Screen feature of QuickBooks Online. If an instructor does not want other instructors to join the session, the instructor can set their settings so that only they will be able to view their QuickBooks Online account. This feature is ideal for situations where two instructors need to share data but do not need assistance from other instructors. Instructors can also give students access to their QuickBooks Online account by embedding a link in their online course page. In addition, students can view a teacher’s data in real time when they are taking a quiz or test that requires them to input certain data from a company’s records into a test question or a quiz question. Students will be able to view a teacher’s company data without having to be given access to a teacher’s QuickBooks Online account.
