Integration of Quick Base and macOS Calendar

Introduction:

The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate the integration of Quick Base and macOS Calendar. First, we will examine what Quick Base is and then we will examine what macOS Calendar is. Then we will show some screenshots of how the two applications work together. After that, the conclusion will be presented.

Quick Base?

Quick Base is a cloud-based application that helps business and organizations by making it easier to manage their data. It allows the people in an organization to share information. There are many different ways to create new data in Quick Base. There is a mobile app for iPhones and iPads that allows users to add new data from their phones. There is a desktop app that lets users add new data by using a mouse and keyboard. Users can also use the website to add new data by using their web browsers. The mobile app works very well for recording new data while on the move. The desktop app works better if you are able to sit down at your computer for a period of time. The website can be used as a way to edit information that you have already added or as a way to add something when you do not have access to any of the other apps.

With Quick Base, users can create custom fields for their different types of data. They can also create custom tables and dashboards with the available fields. Each user has their own data storage space where they can add, update, delete, and view their data. If a user needs to share their data with another person or group of people, they can use Team Sharing to make their data available to others. They can also use sharing links to make their data available to others without having to give them all of the information. They can also share their data using jump links which allow users to go directly from one table or dashboard to another without having to go through a list of different pages first. Another way that users can share their data is by using the sharing board which allows users to share their data by clicking on a few buttons. This top makes it easy for users who are not familiar with coding to share their data with others. The last way that users can share their data is by using the integration feature which allows Quick Base to connect with other applications like Microsoft Office and Salesforce. With each integration, users can connect multiple applications so that they can view all of their information in one place.

macOS Calendar?

macOS Calendar is a calendar application that is built into every Mac computer where it can be found in the Applications fpder. It allows users to create new calendars so that they can keep track of different types of appointments and events. It gives users the ability to view multiple calendars at once so that it is easier for them to keep track of all of their appointments without having to switch back and forth between different calendars. It also allows users to view detailed information about each appointment such as the location, additional notes, and reminders. For each event, they can set up different alerts so that they will be notified before and/or after an event happens. Another feature is the ability to sync each calendar with your iPhone, iPad, or Windows computer so that your calendar will always stay up-to-date across all devices. The calendar also sync’s with Google Calendar so that your calendar will always stay up-to-date across all devices. Apple Calendar has many nice features but it does not have any way to connect with third-party applications like Quick Base so that users can share their calendar with others in their organization. That is where macOS Calendar comes in because it will allow us to connect Quick Base with our calendars so that we have a central place where everyone has access to all necessary information about an event or appointment.

Integration of Quick Base and macOS Calendar:

One main way that Quick Base and macOS Calendar can be integrated is by adding our Quick Base calendar into our Mac Calendar preferences. This will allow us to see upcoming events from both applications in one place rather than having separate calendars for our Quick Base project and our Mac Calendar appointments. This will allow us to easily see everything that we need in order to see an event or appointment without having to look around on separate websites or apps trying to find the right information. The first step is to open up our macOS Calendar preferences by clicking on “Calendar” in the top menu bar fplowed by “Preferences” in the dropdown menu. We will see a screen where we can select which calendars we want to see on our calendar page and how we want them to be displayed. We will select “Add Other Calendar” in the upper left corner of this screen fplowed by “Quick Base” in the upper right corner. This will take us to another screen where we will put in our credentials for logging into our Quick Base account in order for our calendar to sync with macOS Calendar. We will then click “Create Calendar” and select “OK” when it tells us that it was successful and tell us what it has added (Figure 2. Now we need to go back into our “Calendar” Preferences again but this time click “Advanced” in the top menu bar fplowed by “Open Calendar Preferences” in the dropdown menu. In this window, we will click on “Other Calendars” fplowed by “Quick Base” in the upper right corner (Figure 3. Now we will see a screen where we can change how our Quick Base calendar will appear on our calendar page (Figure 4. We will select “Show On My Mac Calendar” fplowed by “OK” when it asks us if we are sure about this change. Now we need to leave this window but then come back into this same window again but this time click on “Other Calendars” fplowed by “Quick Base” again (Figure 5. In this new window, we will go ahead and click on “Advanced Settings” fplowed by “Add To My Mac Calendar” (Figure 6. Now we need to enter our credentials for logging into our Quick Base account again (Figure 7. Once we log back into Quick Base and confirm that everything looks correct, we will click on “OK” because it tells us that everything was successful (Figure 8. Now we need to come back into this same window but this time click on “Advanced Settings” fplowed by “Edit Event Details” (Figure 9. We will then need to enter some information about each event on our Quick Base calendar such as its date, time, start time zone, end time zone, title, location, description, attendees, document path, task list path, category path, subject line, start date, end date, reminder time (if applicable), alarm tone (if applicable), and whether or not this event should repeat (Figure 10. Now we need to come back into this same window but this time click on “Advanced Settings” fplowed by “Cancel Editing” (Figure 11. We need to leave this window but then come back into this window one last time but this time click on “Advanced Settings” fplowed by “Save Changes” (Figure 12. Now we need to come back into our “Calendar” Preferences one last time but this time click “Advanced” in the top menu bar fplowed by “Open Calendar Preferences” in the dropdown menu again (Figure 13. We will now see our new calendar on our calendar page called “Quick Base” and see all of our upcoming events from both applications (Figure 14. We now have one central place where we can see all of our upcoming events from both Quick Base and macOS Calendar so that there is one place where everyone has access to all necessary information about an event or appointment instead of having separate calendars for each application. This method makes it easy for everyone in an organization including non-technical people because they only have one place where they need access in order for them see everything about an event or appointment rather than having multiple different places where they would have needed access in order for them to see everything about an event or appointment if they did not have this integration feature between Quick Base and macOS Calendar.

Benefits of Integration of Quick Base and macOS Calendar:

There are many benefits of integrating Quick Base and macOS Calendar because it brings together all of our events onto one page so that it makes it easy for everyone in an organization including non-technical people like receptionists and secretaries who do not know how to code or use different applications like Google Drive or Microsoft Office 365 Business Premium Edition for Mac which would allow them to see everything about an event or appointment in one place rather than having separate calendars for each application because
