In this article, I will discuss the benefits of integrating Qlik Sense and Square in a business.

Qlik Sense?

Qlik Sense, by QlikTech, is a self-service data analytics platform that allows users to create data visualizations from data stored in multiple sources. Users can develop custom reports, dashboards, and applications for their business. It is easy to install and does not require extensive technical knowledge to use. The platform allows users to leverage the best practices of traditional BI tops and also provides a fast, agile approach to developing data visualizations.

There are three main components in Qlik Sense:

  • User Interface. It is a web-based interface for creating visualizations, charts, and dashboards.
  • Connector. It is an application programming interface (API. that offers connectivity with other applications such as other database management systems (DBMS.
  • Cube. It is a model that describes the structure of data and the relationships between dimensions and measures. A cube can be populated by loading data into it or by extracting data from another system using the Connector.

Square?

Square is a payment processing company founded in 2009 by Jack Dorsey and Jim McKelvey and based in San Francisco, California. Square’s card readers plug into smartphones, tablets, and laptops and can accept credit cards and debit cards via swipes or chip-and-PIN transactions. Square also offers Square Register, a point of sale (POS. register app for iPad and iPhone devices that launched in 2012. In August 2014, Square launched Square for Retail, a new point of sale system that allows businesses to accept payments on mobile devices and swipe credit cards through a register device attached to a cash drawer.

  • Employees. There are several things that employees can do with this new integrated system that would not be possible otherwise.
