Google Tasks is a web application that allows you to keep track of your tasks and prioritizing them. With this top, you will be able to share tasks with other users and get reminders for them. This is a great new feature for organizations.

Integration of Qlik Sense and Google Tasks

There are different ways to integrate Qlik Sense and Google Tasks. One of the most popular integrations is through the Google Apps integration. This way of integration allows you to connect Qlik Sense directly to Google Tasks. The fplowing steps need to be done for this integration:

  • Configure Qlik Sense

Go to “System Settings” > “New License Key”. Enter license key. Set the email address where you want to receive emails from Qlik Sense support. Leave default settings for now. Click “Save” to save changes.

  • Configure Google Tasks integration

Go to Admin tab > Integrations tab > Google Apps tab > Add Google Account button > Connect button > Login button. Enter your username and password. Click “Ok”. Click “Save” to save changes.

  • Configure permissions for Google Tasks integration

Go to Admin tab > Permissions tab > Permissions button > Add permission button > Choose which permission you want to give the user > Click “Save” to save changes. You can set permissions regarding to list, task or both separately.

  • Configure Google Tasks integration in Qlik Sense

Go to Admin tab > Integrations tab > Google Apps tab > Click the + sign next to the Google Apps Integration. Select one of the fplowing options:

Create List – Creates a task list under your account. This will be the default task list for all projects if the user only has read access to that list. As soon as the “Manage Task Lists” permission is given, this will become editable by the user.

Create Task – Creates a task inside the selected list automatically. This should be used if you want to create tasks inside a specific list automatically when a project is executed. Otherwise, use the Create List option instead. Also, if there is no task list selected, Qlik Sense will create one automatically with the same name as the project (project_id. If there already exists a task list with that ID, Qlik Sense will create a new one with an ID starting at 1000 (i.e.. 1001, 1002 etc.. and then incrementing each time this task is created again. This should be used if you want to create tasks inside a specific list automatically when a project is executed. Otherwise, use the Create List option instead. Also, if there is no task list selected, Qlik Sense will create one automatically with the same name as the project (project_id. If there already exists a task list with that ID, Qlik Sense will create a new one with an ID starting at 1000 (i.e.. 1001, 1002 etc.. and then incrementing each time this task is created again.
