Integration of Pingdom and Zoho Connect

  • Pingdom is a web growth monitoring service that offers website uptime and performance monitoring. It was founded by Ludvig Strigeus in 2006. Pingdom monitors sites and alerts the user when there is a problem. There are different alerts for different levels of problems. Users can also see historical trends and details of each alert. They can set up regular tests and track their site’s growth and performance. Pingdom has more than 1,000,000 users worldwide, and they monitor more than 500,000 websites.

  • Zoho Connect?
  • Zoho Connect is an all-in-one app builder that allows businesses to design, build and manage their mobile apps quickly and easily. It provides all the apps your business needs such as the Contact Manager, Survey Creator, Schedule Planner, etc. If you create an account with Zoho Connect, you will be able to build and customize your own custom mobile apps and make them available on both Android and iOS. Zoho Connect integrates with other applications such as Google Calendar and Zoho CRM and it also works with tops like MailChimp. You can choose from a variety of templates to get started.

  • Integration of Pingdom and Zoho Connect
  • There are many benefits to integrating Pingdom with Zoho Connect. If you integrate the two together, Zoho Connect becomes a more reliable top for your business. You can always keep track of your site’s uptime through Pingdom. This way, if your website goes down, Pingdom will send you an alert telling you that there is a problem with your site. However, this only works if you have integrated the two together. If you have not done so yet, there is no need to worry because it is very easy to do so. You simply need to fplow these steps:

    • Make sure you have created an account in Zoho Connect in order to proceed with the integration with Pingdom. If you have not yet created an account in Zoho Connect, you will have to go to the App Store or Play Store on your smartphone or tablet, search for Zoho Connect, download it, create an account in the app, and then log in with your email address and password. If you are using a desktop computer, you can go to Then sign up for an account using your email address and password. A new window will pop up asking you what you want to use for your business. Select “Use my existing business apps” and it will take you to the Apps page where you can select Ask & Survey (if you want to create surveys), Calendar (if you want to schedule appointments), Contacts (to store your contacts), Forms (to create contact forms), or Tasks (if you want to assign tasks. After choosing the app that you want to use for your business, click on “Create my app”. A popup will appear asking you to select which app you want to use for this particular feature. For example, if you want to create a new contact form, you will need to choose the Contacts app on the drop down menu. Then click on “Create my app” again. The next page will tell you that your account is ready to use with this particular feature. Click on “I’m Done” at the bottom of the page if you want to continue adding additional features or else click on “Continue With Another Feature” if you want to add another feature on your website. Now that your account is ready for use in that particular feature, let’s continue with the integration with Pingdom.
    • Go to Pingdom’s webpage at Once there, click on “Signup Free”. You will be asked to select whether you want to use a personal account or a business account from your email address or from a company name or from a domain name. If you use a personal email address, only one person will be able to view reports from this account unless he/she invites someone else who wants to view reports from that particular company/domain account. Choose “Use a business email address” if your email address is not under a business domain name, i.e., [email protected] Under Business Email Address, enter your personal email address using the @ sign before it and then click on “Next” at the bottom of the page. The next page will ask you for information about your company/domain name so that they can verify it with the DNS server. Provide them with this information but make sure that you use a @ sign before your email address so they know that it is a company/domain name since it is required for verification purposes even if you entered it as a personal email address instead of a company/domain name. Click on “Next” once again after providing them with this information and then click on “Finished Verifying Your Business Email Address” when it appears on the screen after verifying that it is indeed a business email address. Now that you have finished verifying your business email address, it is time to authorize Pingdom for access to your account in Zoho Connect so they can connect the two together. Click on “Authorize Access To Your Company Data” at the bottom of the page and enter your login information for Zoho Connect when prompted to do so. Click on “Allow Access” when this window appears after entering your login information. After doing so, all of your data should be available in Pingdom and accessible through their dashboard and widgets:

    You can see here that I have just added my first widget from Pingdom in Zoho Connect:

    • To add more widgets from Pingdom in Zoho Connect, go back to Pingdom’s webpage at and click on “Manage Widgets” at the top right corner of the page under “My Account”. This will take you to another page where you can manage the widgets that are displayed in Zoho Connect once integration has been established between Zoho Connect and Pingdom:
    • To add more widgets from Pingdom in Zoho Connect, go back to Pingdom’s webpage at and click on “Add Another Widget” under “My Account” at the top right corner of the page:

    Now that there are more widgets available for display in Zoho Connect via integration with Pingdom, let us finish by showing how easy it is to add them into Zoho Connect:

    • Return back to Zoho Connect once again by clicking on its logo at the top left corner of the screen or else by clicking on one of its links in step 2 above or step 3 above or step 4 above:
    • Click on “Dashboard” located in the top left corner of this page after signing in if necessary:
    • Click on “Add Widgets” located in the navigation bar at the top of this page:
    • Click on “More Widgets” at the bottom of this page:
    • Click on “Pingdom App Monitor Dashboard v2” under “Performance Monitoring & Alerting Widgets”:
    • Click on “+Add To Dashboard” at the bottom of this page after selecting “Pingdom App Monitor Dashboard v2”:
    • Click on “Send Dashboard Changes To My Devices” located below “+Add To Dashboard” if necessary:
    • Click on “+Add To Dashboard” again after choosing “Send Dashboard Changes To My Devices” if necessary:
    • Click on “Change Title And Description For Your Dashboard Items” once again if necessary:
    • Click on “Save & Close All Changes” at the bottom of this page after changing titles and descriptions if necessary:
    • Now that we have added all of these widgets from Pingdom in Zoho Connect, let us return back to our dashboard by clicking on “Dashboard” located in the top left corner of this page after signing in if necessary:
    • Click on any one of these widgets from Pingdom in order to see server status information from Pingdom:
