Patreon is a company which allows creators to receive, on a monthly basis, donations from their fans through a page associated with them. Patreon gives creators a platform to upload content, as well as a way to receive financial support from those who consume their content. In exchange for donations from fans, creators offer rewards to those who provide the donations, such as behind-the-scenes content, access to exclusive content, and even physical rewards.
The website boasts a variety of different hobbies and subjects that are being supported by Patreon. One of these is webcomics. Webcomics have been growing in popularity over the past few years. They are unique because they allow creators to produce content on a regular basis, as opposed to a weekly or monthly basis.
Storenvy is an online marketplace where users can be independent shop owners. Unlike other websites for selling items, there are no fees for uploading items onto the website. The only fees that come with it are fees paid by buyers when buying items from sellers on the website. This means that Shopnvy’s main objective is to connect buyers and sellers with each other. As a result, they give sellers lots of freedom over how they do business on the website.
One way that I think both sites could integrate would be to allow creators to sell items on their Patreon pages. There are many reasons why this could work out well for everyone invpved. For one, it would expand the reach of these two companies. Those who use both platforms would now have more options to choose from. It also gives creators another way to earn money through the use of crowdfunding. With this method, creators could still offer benefits to donors, while also making money off of other products, such as t-shirts and posters, which could be spd on their Patreon pages. Another benefit would be that it would benefit both companies by allowing them to increase sales and revenue since they would be offering more products to their customers. However, there are downsides to this form of integration. It can be difficult for creators to juggle multiple sources of revenue at once. This also makes it harder for them to market their content effectively since they would need to keep track of multiple sources of income. Also, some patrons may not want to buy items outside of the website they originally donated to. Because of these reasons, I don’t think this integration will happen any time soon. I think that these two companies will continue to remain separate entities.
There are many ways that integrating these two platforms could benefit both creators and consumers. Creators could realize more success if they were able to post items on both platforms at once, which could lead them to earn more profits than if they were limited spely to one platform. For example, if you have a successful storenvy store, but your Youtube channel isn’t doing so well possibly due to lack of views or interest in your channel, you could post shirts or other merchandise related to your channel on your Patreon page in order to draw more traffic back to your channel. This could lead you to make more money because you are diversifying your sources of income. Consumers would also benefit because they would have another source of income to donate to creators through, rather than just choosing between donating through Patreon or giving directly through Paypal/credit card/etc.. Those who are unable to donate through Paypal could still donate through Patreon because many people have credit cards, creating another way for people who couldn’t donate before to now be able to donate without having to go through extra steps or pay extra fees. It also allows consumers who want physical rewards and merchandise, and aren’t willing to wait for it (since sometimes Patreon rewards can take months), another way for them to get what they want without having the creator give up the rights for them to profit off of their own product.
