In case you do not have a PayPal account, you need to register one before proceeding further. Once both accounts are created, you need to log into your Patreon account from this link here. Once you have logged in, click on the button “Get started” located at the top right corner of your screen. Then, click on “Start accepting payments” located at the top right corner of your screen. You will then be redirected to PayPal, which will ask you to fill in some details about your business. After filling in the details and clicking Agree & Continue, you will be directed to another webpage where you will see an option stating “Create a new button”. Click on it and select “Microsoft Outlook” from the options given on the screen. Click next and choose how you would like to accept payments. You can either choose to accept them manually or automatically via PayPal recurring payment system. For now, let us stick with manual payments as you cannot set up automatic payments without first setting up a PayPal recurring payment system (which is beyond the scope of this report. For manual payments, click next and enter the email address for your PayPal account that you wish to use for accepting payments from your customers/backers/donors. Then click next and enter your personal message that will appear on the page where your customers/backers/donors will be able to enter their personal details so they can send you a donation/payment (this is just for information purposes. You can write anything within this box; it does not have to be formal or professional. If you want, you can make it funny or even inspirational! As long as it makes sense to your audience, it will do its job well. Click next and select the donation/payment amount that you are willing to receive monthly from your customers/backers/donors. It is important to keep in mind that whatever amount you put in this field will override whatever amount is entered in your PayPal account settings (in case you are using PayPal. as your default donation amount. Therefore, it is important that you enter an amount that makes sense to your audience so they will feel like they are getting their money’s worth! Click next and select how often you would like your customers/backers/donors to be charged on their credit cards/PayPal accounts so they can make donations/payments towards your account. You have three options. monthly, weekly, or daily. Choose the one that suits your needs best! Then click next and fplow the prompts on the screen until you reach the end of the wizard! Once you have completed everything necessary according to the wizard’s instructions, click finish and you are done! You have successfully created a PayPal button for Microsoft Outlook! Now all you need to do is go ahead and add it to your email signature! You can do this by logging into Microsoft Outlook using your username and password. Once you have logged into Outlook, click File > Options > Mail > Signatures > New Signatures… A window should appear asking if it should save this signature under Business or Personal Address Book – choose Personal Address Book . Now select what signature you would like to replace (let’s say I am replacing my Draft signature. Click OK . Now click on Tops > Options > Other tab > Mail Formatting . Search for Signature Line 1 . Then replace the default text above your name with our newly created PayPal button code! Now just click File > Save & Close . Now click File > Save & Close . Repeat steps 5-9 for any other signatures that use Signature Line 1 . For example. I replaced my Contact Information Signature with my newly created PayPal button code as well! Now go ahead and send out an email using Microsoft Outlook! Your new PayPal button should look something like this. After clicking on this button, customers/backers/donors will be redirected to PayPal where they will see a form similar to this. Here they will type in their personal details so they can send their donation/payment directly to your PayPal account! Once they have entered their details, they will click Pay Now , and then they will see a confirmation message on their screen stating that their donation/payment has been successfully sent! From there, they can log into their PayPal account to check whether or not their money has been successfully transferred into your PayPal account! B. Benefits of Integration of Patreon and Microsoft Outlook When people hear about Patreon, they think it is only suitable for artists – individuals who create things such as music, writing, painting etc. However, Patreon actually works with more than just artists!
