Integration of Patreon and LeadFuze

What is Patreon and LeadFuze?Patreon is a platform for creators to get paid by their fans. It allows the creator to set up rewards for different pledge amounts, such as $1 per new video, $5 per new podcast episode, and so on. Fans of the creator can pledge as little as $1 per creation. Creators can also set up a minimum pledge amount, to help weed out people who only want to pledge a small amount of money. For example, if you want to support my YouTube channel, you can become a patron for either $1 or $5. At the $1 level, you'll get my gratitude and the knowledge that you're helping me do what I love to do. At the $5 level, you'll get access to exclusive content that only patrons can see. (For now, this means access to an ongoing livestream and a monthly Google Hangout.)At some point in the future, I hope to add more benefits for higher-level patrons. This could mean anything from early access to new videos and other material, to physical rewards like T-shirts, mugs, and other merchandise.LeadFuze is a website where people can create landing pages for their email marketing campaigns. Landing pages are webpages specifically designed to cplect email addresses from potential customers. The most common services for creating landing pages are LeadFuze and LeadPages , but there are many others out there. Why Patreon and LeadFuze?I'm integrating Patreon and LeadFuze because I think it's a great idea . I've already done it myself with my own YouTube channel and my own personal website, and I'm using both services at the moment. It's actually easier than I thought it would be, because there's a lot of valuable documentation for both services.Exactly what you need to know about integrating these two services is explained in this very helpful article , which I found after doing some searching on Google.I recommend that all creators on Patreon use LeadFuze (or another service. so that they can start cplecting email addresses from fans who want to support them through Patreon. This way, you can send out emails to your fans whenever you post something new, instead of relying on social media networks like Facebook and Twitter. And when your fans sign up for your mailing list using LeadFuze, they can opt into the reward system that I'll be talking about in my next section.

What does integration entail? The first thing you should do is set up an account on LeadFuze , and then connect it with your Patreon account. After that, you can start creating landing pages for each reward tier on your Patreon page. It's not that hard to do this! Just create a new landing page in LeadFuze and copy the code at the top of the page into your Patreon page's "rewards" section. There are three parts of this code. redirect URL (which must be, campaign URL (which must be your Patreon page), and custom landing page text (which should be changed to reflect the tier you're offering. You can see an example of the code here .In order to offer multiple rewards in one tier, you can just create multiple landing pages on LeadFuze. When someone pledges to your Patreon account, they'll be redirected to one of these landing pages. So if you have a $5 reward tier and three landing pages on LeadFuze for that tier, one person pledging $5 will go to one landing page, two people pledging $5 will go to a different landing page, and three people pledging $5 will go to another landing page. All you have to do is change which landing page will appear for each reward tier on your Patreon page's rewards section.LeadFuze makes it easy to integrate your payment processing as well. If someone pledges $1 on your Patreon page because they want access to a private Google Hangout (for example), then they'll be redirected to a third-party site called Payment Depot . That site will automatically charge their card $1 and redirect them back to your site with a link to download whatever files they've just received as part of their reward. It will look something like this:You can see an example of this in action at my YouTube channel . When you click the button below the video player, it will take you to my LeadFuze landing page in a new window, which will automatically redirect you back to YouTube with a link to the private video. It's all automated! What are some benefits of integration?I'm not sure if I would recommend integrating Patreon and LeadFuze unless you were planning on implementing some sort of reward system for donating fans. But if you are going to implement a reward system, then integration is definitely worth doing! Here are some reasons why:· You won't lose any existing subscribers by adding LeadFuze links next to your videos or on your website . People who are already subscribed to your mailing list don't need to sign up again with LeadFuze if you decide to use them. They'll just receive a few extra emails from time to time.· You won't lose any existing patrons by adding LeadFuze links next to your videos or on your website . People who are already paying you through Patreon won't have to pay again if they want access to additional rewards through LeadFuze. They'll just have the option of paying more money (though unless they're really enthusiastic about supporting you, they probably won't.· Patreon and LeadFuze make it easy for people who find you through social media or word-of-mouth to support you . Right now, the only way people can support me through Patreon is by clicking a link on Facebook or Twitter. Otherwise they'd have to fplow me around on YouTube looking for new videos or visit my website looking for new blog posts or podcasts or whatever I'm providing. If I used Patreon's reward system along with LeadFuze's redirects, then people would be able to support me without even having an account on any social media network. Pretty convenient! (More convenient than Patreon currently is.)· Setting up rewards for different tiers of support will help you grow your fan base . In my opinion, any business with an audience should be offering rewards for higher levels of support immediately, whether or not they're using Patreon or another crowdfunding service. If you're charging $100 per month for unpublished content or $500 per month for handmade merchandise or whatever else, then offer those things as rewards for donations above that amount! Otherwise people might stop donating once they've seen everything that's available at their current level of donation. For example, when I finish writing my book about outdoor survival skills, I'll start offering it as a reward for anyone who donates $10 or more per month . That way all my Patrons will get it eventually; those who donate $10 will get it immediately when it's released; and everyone else will eventually catch up when I release more videos and podcasts over time. And when people start donating regularly at higher levels because they want access to certain rewards -- say, exclusive content -- then they'll learn about other rewards being offered down the line. This is good for everyone!· You'll be able to test out different reward systems before committing fully . When I first started making videos last year, I knew nothing about crowdfunding platforms like Patreon or Kickstarter or Indiegogo . I decided that I'd try it out with something simple -- namely, asking viewers for monetary donations at the end of each video. That was my only reward system until February of this year (when I came up with my current rewards system. Now I'm stuck with all these videos on my YouTube channel asking people for donations that no longer exist! If I had linked up Patreon and LeadFuze from the start, I could have easily tested out different reward systems while keeping track of how many people were pledging at each level of support. For example, I could have made one video with lead magnets for every tier except the highest one (which would have been reserved for early access. -- maybe an ebook or short course or other educational product -- then made another video offering early access as its main draw instead of lead magnets. Then I could compare which video got more support! But now that's impossible because all my videos are asking for donations...and now that I'm using a reward system that gives away lead magnets and early access as part of its lowest tier, no one is donating anymore! So if you're planning on setting up a similar rewards system in the future -- say, by linking up your Patreon account with another crowdfunding platform in the near future -- then it would
