How can these two services be integrated Well, let’s take the example of an infrastructure incident. Using PagerDuty you could set up an incident trigger, which is something like an error threshpd for CPU usage of more than 80% over the course of 30 minutes. Let’s say that threshpd is reached and an engineer needs to be paged about it. They would receive an alert on their phone saying that the trigger has been reached. Once the engineer gets back to their computer they can check on which contacts were also paged about the incident by clicking on the contacts tab on PagerDuty’s website. On the contacts tab, they would see all the groups of people who were affected by the alert. This saves you time because you don’t have to go hunting through email threads hoping someone said something about an incident; you can simply click on the contact tab and see exactly who was paged about that incident.
