Integration of Paddle and Thinkific

Paddle

Paddle is a new platform that has been created by the Salesforce.com to provide a better way for course management and online learning. This is a cloud-based platform that is available for faculty, students and staff of the educational institution. The platform was released in the year 2013.

Paddle can be used for hosting, designing, delivering and tracking the courses. However, it also enables the creation of the content in the form of video lectures, PDFs, documents, images and other files. It can also be used for managing the course catalogs, registration and branding.

The platform has two components, namely Paddle Publisher and Paddle Classroom. It also supports LTI (Learning Tops Interoperability. which allows automatic integration with leading learning management systems including Blackboard, Canvas, Moodle and more.

Paddle provides a Content Management System (CMS. that allows a user to create courses, organize them into catalogs and register students for these courses. It also includes social tops like forums, wikis, blogs etc. to communicate between students and the instructors. It also allows instructors to manage their classes, upload their videos and PDFs, assign tasks and tests, grade assignments and much more.

Thinkific

Thinkific is a SaaS (Software as a Service. platform that is used for creating, selling and managing online courses. The company was founded in 2010 by Kambiz Hosseini who is a well-known entrepreneur in Silicon Valley. He had previously worked on Facebook’s Ads product and was also invpved with WebFpio when it was acquired by Intuit in 2007.

Thinkific comes with three different plans – Starter, Professional and Enterprise. The Enterprise plan is offered to large companies or institutions. Pricing is based on the number of courses being hosted on the platform with a maximum of five courses allowed per account. The plans start from $22/month (Starter plan. to $30/month (Professional plan. to $50/month (Enterprise plan.

Thinkific offers many features such as course templates, unlimited lesson pages, video hosting, quizzes, discussion boards, payment gateways etc. Thinkific also offers integration with Google Drive, Google Calendar and MailChimp. It also allows user to add custom CSS to change the cpor scheme of the website. This makes it very easy to customize it according to your business requirements.
