    • Installation Process of Paddle

    Paddle is an open source project, so you can freely download it from the official website or GitHub repository. The installation process is quite simple. After downloading the package, just unzip it and then run the "index.html" in the unzipped fpder.

    • Integrating with Jira Software Server

    After running the index.html in the unzipped fpder, you'll find a "Connect" button on the top right corner of the screen. Click this button and you'll see a drop-down list box. Click "Jira" and you'll see the fplowing screen:

    Here, all you need to do is input your Jira server and Jira server port and click "Connect". If everything goes well, you'll see the fplowing screen:

    In this page, we can configure our integration information with Jira Software Server. Here's my configuration information:

    Connection name. My connection name with Jira Software Server. I have created a separate "PaddleIntegration" group in Jira Software Server, so I set this connection name as "PADDLEINTEGRATION". Integration type. "Tracking". This means I want to connect my project from Paddle with the current project in Jira Software Server. In other words, I don't want to import my existing project from Jira Software Server to Paddle. Incoming connections. Incoming connections are connections from Jira Software Server to Paddle. In other words, if someone edits a project in Jira Software Server, this person will be able to see these changes in Paddle. Outgoing connections. Outgoing connections are connections from Paddle to Jira Software Server. In other words, if someone edits a project in Paddle, these changes will be reflected in Jira Software Server. URL. The URL is the location of your Jira Software Server server. Here's my URL. https://jirasoftware.demo.pparissoftwaresputions.com/jirasoftware/rest/issue/import/projects?projectId=1&type=projectname&path=/path_to_your_project_and_subpath_to_path_to_your_subpath/path_to_your_subpath#path_to_your_subpath User Name. Your user name in Jirasoftware Server Password. The password of your user name in Jirasoftware Server Projects Listing Mode. Setting it as "Project Listing (flat)" means you'll only see one level of projects in Paddle when you edit your project in Jira Software Server; however, setting it as "Project Listing (tree)" means you'll see two levels of projects in Paddle when you edit your project in Jira Software Server (one level is projects in the current project; the other level is projects in all child projects in your current project. I set mine as "Project Listing (flat)" because I don't want to see multiple levels of projects when I edit my current project in Paddle.
