It was founded in 2012 in India and is now headquartered in San Francisco. It is used by more than 1000 business customers worldwide, including companies such as Comparethemarket.com, Booking.com, and Kayak.com.

In 2011, Amazon acquired API Tech for $300 million to form Amazon Web Services which became one of the largest cloud computing companies in the world in 2016. In 2015, Chargebee partnered with Amazon Web Services to provide its subscription management platform in the AWS Marketplace. Integration of Paddle and Chargebee

Unlike other billing platforms that are used for subscriptions or billing systems such as Stripe (an online payment processor. or PayPal (an online payment facilitator), Paddle is not a standalone system that supports all payment methods or subscriptions. Instead, it is designed for e-commerce sites that sell physical products. As such, it has limited functionality for managing subscriptions and recurring payments. However, there are third party sputions such as Chargebee that integrate Paddle Payouts with Chargebee for the purpose of billing customers who subscribe to your product or service. Once she does so, Chargebee then sends the order details and payment information to Paddle Payouts so it can be processed by your bank account or other payment gateway of choice. The integration of Chargebee with Paddle Payouts not only allows you to take advantage of the benefits of both platforms but also greatly simplifies the process of managing recurring payments on your e-commerce site.
