OpsGenie is an incident management spution that helps teams respond to incidents and improve the stability of their applications. Incidents are tracked, reported, and monitored in OpsGenie for fast respution.

Square was founded in 2009 by Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey. Square’s smartphone card reader lets merchants process credit card payments.

Integration of OpsGenie and Square

Square has an API which can be used to integrate with other services. This integration is achieved by forming the ‘Square Orders’ API.

OpsGenie version 3.0 supports integration with Square Orders API. It can be enabled by ticking the “checkbox” in the account settings page. This allows you to receive notifications about new ‘orders’ created in Square through OpsGenie. These notifications are triggered based on the pre-defined conditions. For example, if a new order is created, only the first one would be sent as an alert, all subsequent orders would not trigger any notification at all. The notification would be sent to the users who are added as the ‘Notification Recipients’ for this integration. The notification would also contain details like the name of the payment processor, the city, country code, state code, etc.
