Google Forms

Google Forms by Google is a free web based top that allows users to create surveys. You can use Google Forms to gather feedback from customers or clients or cplect data for research projects. It also offers features like progress tracking and conditional questions. The cplected data can be exported in various formats like .xls (Excel), .csv (comma separated values. and .pdf (Adobe Portable Document Format. Users have the ability to set conditions on the forms which means only the people who meet certain criteria can fill it out.

Part 1. Integration of OpsGenie and Google Forms

1.1 Create Alerts in OpsGenie using Google Forms

Setup Integrations between Google Apps account and OpsGenie account. See this guide for step by step instructions. Go to Google Forms -> Create new form -> Name your form -> Click "Create" button -> Click on the "Add-ons" option on the left panel -> Select "Alert" option -> Click "+" button -> Select "PagerDuty" service -> Click "Connect" button -> Click on the "Settings" tab -> Enter your PagerDuty API Key -> Click "Enable integration" button. This will create an alert in OpsGenie whenever a user completes the form. For example, you can create an alert for "New user signup". This way you get notified via PagerDuty whenever a new user signs up.

1.2 Post Alert Notifications to Google Hangouts/Gmail/Google+ via XMPP

Setup Integrations between Google Apps account and OpsGenie account. See this guide for step by step instructions. Go to Google Forms -> Create new form -> Name your form -> Click "Create" button -> Click on the "Add-ons" option on the left panel -> Select "Alert" option -> Click "+" button -> Select "XMPP" service -> Click "Connect" button -> Enter your XMPP Username and Domain (i.e., [email protected] . and click "Save settings". This will enable XMPP notifications to be sent to Hangouts or Gmail or Google+. For example, you can create an alert for "New user signup". This way you get notified via XMPP whenever a new user signs up.
