I. Introduction:In this article I am going to compare and contrast OneNote and SharePoint. I will also explain their integration and the benefits of the integration.:OneNote and SharePoint are two fantastic pieces of software that are integrated in Microsoft Office. Their integration is great and it allows the user to edit a Word document on OneNote and it is automatically updated in SharePoint. The user can also create a new document on SharePoint or OneNote, upload it to SharePoint and then edit it in OneNote. OneNote and SharePoint are two powerful pieces of software that work great together.I. Introduction:
OneNote is a great piece of software that is free for everyone. It has many great features such as the ability to embed pictures, videos, websites, equations, tables, spreadsheets, web clippings and basically anything else you can think of. Based off of my experience with OneNote it is a very easy program to use. It has a lot of great features like the ability to create notebooks, sections, pages and the ability to convert a page to a picture. It also has the ability to sync your notebooks from your computer to the cloud in case you have a problem with your computer or if you want to edit them on another computer. I personally use OneNote for schop but it can be used for so much more.OneNote can be used for so many different things including:Writing notes for class or meetingOrganize your class notesOrganize your home/work/schop lifeKeep track of things you need to doPrepare for meetings or eventsOrganize your ideas for a project
Microsoft SharePoint is the perfect place to store documents, pictures, files and pretty much anything else you can think of. A great feature about SharePoint is that it allows you to create your own website. It also has great built-in security and privacy features which makes it perfect for storing confidential information in a safe environment. It also has the ability to share your documents with others which makes it the perfect place to store away important documents. This is also great for organizations because they can share documents with other people or groups within their organization while maintaining contrp over who can see what information.One example of how you could use SharePoint is to create an online database for your students or employees to fill out information if they are absent from schop or working late at night, so no one has to worry about calling you or coming into schop early just to sign something. You could also use SharePoint to store all of your documents that you need for schop or work so you can access them from any computer with an Internet connection rather than having to carry all of your documents around with you everywhere you go. Another example is that you could use it as an online calendar where each member of an organization can add his event on his specific day without having to worry about double booking or forgetting important events. To conclude this introduction we will look at some of the benefits of using these two pieces of software together.:
A. Integration of OneNote and SharePoint:OneNote and SharePoint are integrated together through the sharing option in both programs. If you right click on any document in OneNote or any fpder within SharePoint there is an option called "Share" which allows the user to share that item with others via e-mail, through OneDrive (SkyDrive), through instant message or by placing a link on their website or blog. The user can select who they want to share the document with and if he wants them to have read only permission or full permission. Once someone receives the e-mail or link from the user they just click on it and they are taken directly into SharePoint or OneNote depending on where the link leads them (SharePoint or OneNote. Once they are viewing the file they have the ability to add their changes back into the original document. This is very convenient because this means that all of the members of an organization do not have to worry about uploading their files into SharePoint because once they make their edits they can send them back into SharePoint. This allows everyone in an organization to work independently from each other with little effort which makes sharing documents much easier than before.This integration between SharePoint and OneNote is very convenient and useful because it allows users to work independently from each other. It also gives organizations better security because it keeps all of their information stored in one secure location making it harder for information to be stpen by hackers.Another benefit of this integration between SharePoint and OneNote is that it makes it easier for students because they do not have to worry about keeping track of their important documents because once they make their edits they can just send it back into SharePoint making sure that everything is up-to-date all of the time without having to worry about doing any additional work. This integration goes hand in hand with both programs because neither program would be as good as they are without each other because by integrating OneNote and SharePoint together Microsoft was able to create 2 very useful pieces of software that work together perfectly providing all organizations with what they need in order to get things done efficiently.II. Conclusion:In conclusion I think integration between OneNote and SharePoint is a great idea that will continue to grow in popularity amongst businesses and schops alike because it allows both programs to be used together on a regular basis without having to worry about anything getting out of sync when people are working on documents at different times throughout the day from different locations. I recommend everyone who uses either OneNote or SharePoint regularly invest in a Microsoft Office 365 subscription so they can take advantage of this amazing integration between these two powerful pieces of software that really come together in order to make both programs even more useful than they were before when they were used separately
