  • OneNote OneNote is a note-taking app developed by Microsoft which allows users to record audio, take pictures, insert sticky notes, draw on the screen, or type text. Users are able to share their notebooks with other people using the desktop or mobile versions of OneNote. Users are able to edit their notes using the OneNote web app.1 The desktop version of OneNote 2010 was released on January 29, 2009, with features including new print preview and layout options, faster note taking tops, easier navigation, and new sharing capabilities.2 The first version of OneNote for Windows 8 was released on October 17, 2012, with features that included touch support, sharing via email, easy search by tags, and integration with Windows SharePoint Services (WSS.3 The Windows Store version of OneNote 2013 was released on March 26, 2013, with features including automatic word recognition using optical character recognition (OCR), support for Windows 8.1, and new touch gestures.4 On July 1, 2014 Microsoft announced plans to release a new version of OneNote for Windows 10 codenamed “Office Anniversary” in September 2015.5 Office Anniversary was released on September 22, 2015 as part of Windows 10.6 Office Anniversary includes new ink effects, AutoSave functionality for OneNote files saved in the cloud, more flexibility by allowing users to choose between notebook or section tabs in the ribbon interface, and an overall design update for the software.7 On May 3, 2016 Microsoft announced plans for a new version of OneNote 2016 codenamed “Dive-In”.8 This version will allow users to view PDF documents within OneNote without having to save them to their computer or download them onto their desktops.9 On November 2, 2016 Microsoft announced plans for a new version of OneNote 2016 codenamed “Whirly-Whatsit” which will include a new radial menu in the section tabs in addition to a number of other improvements.10 In June 2017 Microsoft announced plans for a new version of OneNote 2016 codenamed “Honeycomb” which will include a new option in the ribbon menu which will allow users to create a note from any video that they have recorded using their webcam.11 In October 2017 Microsoft announced plans for a new version of OneNote 2016 codenamed “Coral” which will include a new feature called “Create a Page from Web Clipping” which will allow users to create a page from an article on the internet.12 In April 2018 Microsoft announced plans for a new version of OneNote 2016 codenamed “Ink Drop” which will include a new top called “Create a Page from Photo” which will allow users to create a page from a photo that they have taken using their smartphone or digital camera.13 In May 2018 Microsoft announced plans for a new version of OneNote 2017 codenamed “Global Weather” which will include a new option in the ribbon menu called “Settings Menu” which will allow users to add weather forecasts to their notes by searching Google or Bing for the location where the note was created.14 In August 2018 Microsoft announced plans for a new version of OneNote 2016 codenamed “Checkmark” which will include a new feature that allows users to sync their notes offline using either Wi-Fi or cellular connections and then syncing them back online when they reconnect their computers to the internet.15 In September 2018 Microsoft announced plans for a new version of OneNote 2016 codenamed “Backseat Driver” which will include a new option in the ribbon menu called “Add Page from Notes” which will allow users to add pages from previous versions of their notes into newer versions of their notes even if they were created in different versions of OneNote.16 In December 2018 Microsoft announced plans for a new version of OneNote 2017 codenamed “Digital Doodles” which will include a new feature that allows users to draw and sketch using their devices touchscreen and stylus input mechanisms to create visual content in their notes.17 In January 2019 Microsoft announced plans for a new version of OneNote 2017 codenamed “Drawing Space” which will include a new feature that allows users to draw sketches on top of photos that are already in their notes.18 B. monday.com monday.com is an online management platform that combines project management software with social networking capabilities.19 Users are able to create projects with tasks, resources, deadlines, team members, due dates, comments, discussions, documents, links to external resources, access contrps, time tracking capabilities, notifications, mobile apps, calendar integration tops, expense reporting tops, budget tracking tops20,21 and more.22 A.
