Integration of OneNote and Azure DevOps

In this article I will be discussing the integration of OneNote and Azure DevOps.

A. What is OneNote?OneNote is a notebook application provided by Microsoft. It is a software application that allows you to create notebooks; these notebooks have sections in which you can write notes. OneNote also has page templates; these templates allow you to create page layouts for all sorts of things, including project management, meeting agendas, lesson plans, etc. I use OneNote everyday for schop and work; it's my go-to app when it comes to taking notes and planning out lessons, as well as brainstorming and developing new ideas. The tagging feature is also handy when it comes to organizing different subjects into notebooks within OneNote.OneNote is an excellent top which has been around since 2006. Microsoft developed it with pen computing in mind. It allows the user to interact with digital ink using a stylus or a touchscreen; unlike on other platforms such as iOS, the stylus does not need to be pressure sensitive. This is great for taking notes quickly with minimal effort and maximum precision; no longer do you need to worry about drawing crooked lines or writing in cursive with a digital pen. Additionally, OneNote offers a variety of features for note taking and organization; there are over 80 different formatting options available that can be used to style your notes in a variety of ways.OneNote is a powerful application which comes with the Office Suite from Microsoft. It's free to download and use on all supported operating systems. If you're looking for a great top for note-taking and organizing your life, I highly suggest you take a look at OneNote; if it already exists on your computer, open it up and give it a shot. If you don't have Windows 10 (although Microsoft does recommend that you use Windows 10 if possible), get Windows 10 anyways and give OneNote a try. I'm sure you'll love it; I know I did.

OneNote and Azure DevOps combine together to make an excellent resource for developers.

A. Integration of OneNote and Azure DevOpsOneNote and Azure DevOps are designed for one another; they are two sides of the same coin, so to speak. OneNote works best with Azure DevOps because Azure DevOps is essentially just an extension of OneNote. Azure DevOps allows the user to save snippets of code into their notebooks and organize them into cplections; additionally, users can directly reference those cplections in their code in order to implement what they've saved into their notebooks. This saves the user the trouble of having to type out huge blocks of code every time they want to write something down.Using both together makes for a seamless experience; you can easily use OneNote as your personal knowledge base for all of your code snippets and notes, while still being able to draw on that information through Azure DevOps whenever necessary.

B. Benefits of Integration of OneNote and Azure DevOpsThere are many benefits to integrating OneNote and Azure DevOps together; here are just some of them:

  • It creates a centralized location for your code snippets.
  • You can re-use your code snippets over and over again instead of having to type everything out yourself.
  • You can organize your code snippets however you want into specific categories/cplections/pages within your notebooks which makes finding what you're looking for much easier.
  • You can access your code snippets easily whenever you want through the cloud instead of having to look through physical notebooks or having to dig through your hard drive.
  • You can directly link your code snippets in your code editors which saves you time writing out long blocks of code every time you need them.

In conclusion, using both OneNote and Azure DevOps together is an excellent way to organize all of your code snippets while simultaneously keeping those code snippets in one easy-to-access location. It's also extremely useful if you like using pen computing methods such as writing with a stylus or using a touchscreen laptop instead of a physical keyboard and mouse; unlike other operating systems like iOS, Windows 10 allows pen input without pressure sensitivity, making it easier than ever to take notes quickly and efficiently in OneNote while also being able to easily access those notes whenever you need them through Azure DevOps.
