A domain name

A Linux VPS or dedicated server

A web server (Apache)

A database (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, SQLite, etc.)

A mail server (Postfix)

A PHP version greater than 5.6.0

A web development language such as Python, Perl, Ruby, etc. (PHP is recommended)

The steps to deploy Odoo ERP Self Hosted are as fplows:

Step 1. Get a domain name. You can get it from any of the registrars. For example, NameCheap or GoDaddy. Step 2. Get a Linux VPS or dedicated server from one of the hosting providers. For example, DigitalOcean or Amazon Web Services. Step 3. Get a web server (Apache. You can install it yourself or ask your web hosting provider to install it for you. Step 4. Get a database (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, SQLite, etc.. You can install it yourself or ask your web hosting provider to install it for you. Step 5. Install a mail server (Postfix. You can install it yourself or ask your web hosting provider to install it for you. Step 6. Install a PHP version greater than 5.6.0 on your server. You can install it yourself or ask your web hosting provider to install it for you. Step 7. Download the Odoo packages and put them on your web server root directory. Step 8. Configure your MySQL database. You can do it yourself or ask your web hosting provider to configure it for you. Step 9. Create a new database user and grant privileges on your database for that user. Step 10. Log in to the web interface of your Odoo ERP Self Hosted instance at http://example.com/openerp/ Step 11. Click on the Admin menu in the upper left corner of the page and select Permissions & Groups. Then click on Add Group and create a new group called “OneDrive”. In this group, give read and write access to the /_api/_login/odoo_auth table (check the box Allow access to API. Step 12. Log in to the web interface of Microsoft OneDrive at https://portal.office.com/. Find the page with your documents and click on “Share”. In the dialog box that opens, choose “Yes” for both “Share with people at my organization” and “Make this document available offline”, then click on “Share” again. Once you have shared a file, you will see its URL in the “Share” dialog box. Copy this link, open a browser tab with the login form of your Odoo ERP Self Hosted instance and paste the link into the field “Your OneDrive URL” in the credentials section. This field is below the section “Copy your login info” below “Change your password” and above “Sign in” as shown in the screenshot below. Click on “Log in” and enter your credentials when prompted. The configuration is done! Now when you open Odoo ERP Self Hosted web interface, you should see documents from your OneDrive account in the Documents fpder! Step 13. Enjoy!
