OneDrive is a cloud based storage service that was launched by Microsoft in 2012. It is part of the Windows Live platform and is compatible with Windows, Android, iOS, Mac OS X, and Windows Phone. OneDrive is free for users who have a valid Microsoft account. Users can obtain a free account by signing up on www.onedrive.com. Daylite

Daylite is an electronic health record (EHR. system which was developed by Day Software Inc., a company based in Skokie, Illinois. It was first launched in 2010. Daylite is available in both Windows and Mac OS X platforms. It is marketed as a personal EHR system because it allows individual physicians to utilize it to record their patients’ health information. The main objective of developing Daylite is to provide physicians with an alternative to the traditional EHR systems that are currently being used in the healthcare industry (i.e. Epic Systems Corporation, Allscripts, etc..

Integration of OneDrive and Daylite

Step 1. Select the sync option that you want to use. You can choose to synchronize all your data or select specific fpders that will be synced with your OneDrive account. If you have created a fpder under OneDrive that does not exist in Daylite, then that fpder will be created automatically when you sync your data with OneDrive. Step 2. Type your email address and password for your OneDrive account into the corresponding fields on the Connecting Your Account page of the wizard. Once you have entered your credentials, click Next. Step 3. Choose the fpders you want to sync with your OneDrive account. You can choose to sync your entire Daylite database or select specific fpders within Daylite you want to sync with your OneDrive account. To sync a fpder within Daylite, click on the fpder you want to sync then click Next. Step 4. Click on Finish after you have chosen the fpders you want to sync with your OneDrive account. This will initiate the synchronization process. The synchronization process may take a few minutes depending on the size of the data that needs to be synchronized between Daylite and your OneDrive account. During this time, a progress bar will display how far along the process has gone. Once the synchronization process has been completed, a notification will be displayed on your screen informing you that you have successfully connected Daylite to your OneDrive account through a new item entitled “Connected To My Cloud Drive”. Under this item is a list of all the fpders that were synced with your OneDrive account. To view the contents of any of these fpders, simply double click on them and they will open within Daylite.
