Omnisend is a marketing automation top that helps companies to manage all their email marketing campaigns easily. It offers many features like automations, analytics, surveys, landing pages, etc. You can check the official website of Omnisend here.

There are two main features of Omnisend which are important for us. Those are lead generation and segmentation. The first feature of it is lead generation, i.e. it helps you to generate leads for your business. You can create any number of forms in Omnisend and then send it via some social media networks or channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn etc. And then you can generate leads for your business from these subscribers who filled out the forms.

The second feature of it is Segmentation. It helps you to divide your subscribers into multiple segments based on their actions and interests. For example, if someone purchases an item from your store and if you want to send them a promotional offer for the same product again, then you can create a segment in Omnisend and add all emails of these people in this segment so that if any of them purchase something again later on, you can send them a special offer to this special segment.

Instagram Lead Ads?

Instagram Lead Ads are basically ads that appear when you click that link in your Instagram profile. When you click on that link it will open a new page to show the ad which will be created by you and can be customized by you to suit specific needs and requirements of your business and target audience.

Instagram Lead Ads were announced in October 2016 and in April 2017 they started appearing in all profiles of Instagram users across the world. They also launched Instagram Lead Ads API to make integration easier for third-party apps like Omnisend. So at present we can integrate our app with Instagram Lead Ads through this API.

Integration of Omnisend and Instagram Lead Ads

Instagram Lead Ads have been enabled by Omnisend’s latest update, so now we can create Instagram Lead Ads from any of our forms in Omnisend and start creating leads right away without doing any other work. The process of creating an Instagram Lead Ad is really easy. Let’s look at the steps invpved in creating an Instagram Lead Ad from a form in Omnisend:

Step 1. Login to your Omnisend account and navigate to the form where you want to add an Instagram Lead Ad. In this example, we will add an Instagram Lead Ad from a form named ‘Blog Form’. So navigate to the Blog Form from this menu.

Step 2. Now click on ‘Link to Instagram’ from this action menu at the bottom right corner of the form editor screen:

Step 3. A new pop-up window will appear showing a list of social media networks where you can add an Instagram Lead Ad from this form. Select Instagram from the list and click on ‘Next’ button:

Step 4. Once you click on ‘Next’ button, another pop-up window will appear containing three options for adding an Instagram Lead Ad from this form. We will go through each option one by one:

Option 1. Create An Instagram Lead Ad From Scratch (Recommended. – If you choose this option, then it will automatically show you the Instagram Lead Ads creation experience where you can create an ad without installing any mobile app or any other third-party software. This option has been launched by Instagram itself. So if your target audience mostly consist of people who are not familiar with marketing or technpogy then you should definitely use this option for creating your ads because they will never know what is happening behind the scenes while creating an ad using this option. So let’s go with it! Click on ‘Create an ad’ button:

Step 5. This will open up a new tab in your browser where the Instagram Lead Ads creation experience is waiting for you. Let’s take a quick tour around this experience just to see how it works! Here is the welcome screen which contains all the information about how your ads appear on Instagram profiles of your subscribers:

Step 6. On the welcome screen, click on ‘Show Details’ button to get more information about how your ads will appear on subscriber’s profile:

Step 7. This is how your ads will appear on subscriber’s profile once they click on the link of your ad which appears on their profile page:

Step 8. Similarly, there are other informational screens available for subscribers who don’t have Instagram installed on their devices yet or if they are not logged into their Instagram accounts or if they are not aware about what are these Instagram Lead Ads actually doing on their profiles. Click on ‘Continue’ button to go back to the previous screen where you can create your ad! Here is how it looks like after clicking on ‘Continue’ button:

Step 9. This is the first screen where you have started creating your first ever Instagram Lead Ad! This screen will ask you several questions related to your ad like what kind of image should be displayed on this ad, what CTA button should be shown on this ad, what should be shown below this image etc.:

You have already created this form earlier so now just click on ‘Search Form’ button to find out if your form exists among all Omnisend forms or not:

If your form exists then just select it from this field and then click on ‘Preview Post’ button to preview how this image and CTA button will look like when they appear on subscriber’s profile page:

Now we have previewed our image and we can see that it looks good enough for our purposes so we don’t need to change anything else here. But if you want to change something else like text cpor or background cpor or CTA cpor then all those options are available right here along with ‘Save Changes’ button which will apply those changes instantly! Now click on ‘Next Step’ button:

Step 10. This next screen will show you several options regarding CTA buttons which you can apply to your ad:
