Here are some of the things that need to be done in order to integrate Odoo CRM with OpsGenie through API:
Create an account in OpsGenie Create an account in Odoo CRM Go to Settings > Integrations section of OpsGenie Click on "Create New Integration" Enter your API Key/API Secret from Odoo CRM Create a new Integration from OpsGenie In "Alerts Events URL" enter the URL as "/api/v1/event/". In "Integration Type" select "Custom" In "OU" enter the value as "ops_custom_integrations" Click on "Add Trigger" Under "Trigger" enter any value so it triggers a new alert Click on "Save Integration" Go back to "Integrations" page Click on "Assign Users & Groups" Click on "Assign Group" Add a group name Select a group from your list Click on "Assigned Users" Click on "+Assign" Select users from the list Click on "Assign Integrations" Select ops_custom_integrations from the list Click on "Assign Integration" Click on "Assign Alerting Methods" In "Alerting Methods" section click on "+Assign" Select "Email", "SMS", "Phone Call" or "Push Notification" from the list Click on "Assign Alerting Methods" Click on "Assign Filters" In "Filters" section click on "+Assign Filter" Select filters from the list Click on "Assign Filters" Click on "Assign Triggers" In "Triggers" section click on "+Assign Trigger" Select triggers from the list Click on "Assign Triggers" Click on "Assign Notifications" In "Notification Settings" section click on "+Assign Notification" Select notifications from the list Click on "Assign Notification Settings" Click on "+Save Integration" Create a test notification from your Salesforce account Go back to Salesforce and check if the test notification was sent successfully Go back to OpsGenie and check if you received a test notification from Salesforce If everything looks fine then click on "+Close Integration" button Save changes by clicking on the save button at the top right corner of the screen Repeat all these steps for all other functions such as creating projects, creating tasks and updating incidents (For more information please go through my article Integrating Slack with Salesforce using WebHooks)
With this integration, we will be sending every event happening in Odoo CRM directly to OpsGenie and vice versa (We will send every event happening in OpsGenie directly to Odoo CRM. For example, if there is an error in any of your projects or tasks or incidents, OpsGenie will send an update notification directly to Odoo CRM so that your team members are notified about this issue immediately even if they are sleeping or are out of office. Here are some of the steps invpved in integrating Odoo CRM with OpsGenie through WebHooks:
Go to Settings > Integrations section of Odoo CRM Under "Webhooks", paste your Webhook URL provided by OpsGenie Go to Settings > Integrations section of OpsGenie Under "Webhooks", paste your Webhook URL provided by Odoo CRM On your website/app/software, create an endpoint where every request should be posted along with Digest access token Now whenever something happens within Odoo CRM or OpsGenie make sure that this request is sent to the corresponding endpoint If everything goes well then this data will be visible under Integrations section of both Odoo CRM and OpsGenie
