Now we will create fields in our database so that we can start adding data into our database as shown below. You need to provide a name for each field which you want to create in your database. For example I have created two fields named “Product Name” and “Product Category” in my database so that I can add Product Name and Product Category values into my database for further analysis or reports as shown below. Now we need to provide structure information regarding our fields so that we can tell Quick Base how we want our fields organized into pages and rows as shown below. We have chosen our fields by clicking on the plus sign next to each field name which we have entered previously in our database. After choosing our field types we need to add them into our structure one at a time by clicking on Add Field button at the bottom of the Structure pane shown above. Finally we will tell Quick Base how we want our fields displayed on various pages after adding them into our structure as shown below. As shown above we will choose appropriate fields for display fields based upon their respective pages such that when we want to display product category information on page 1, product name information is displayed on page 2 etc which makes it easy for us to compare product category information with product name information within our spreadsheet or database without having to modify any code or script itself. After choosing appropriate display fields for each page you need to choose Display Order option from Page menu located at the top of Page Pane. You can choose appropriate display order for each page here so that when we display important information first this makes it easy for us to tag those pages with relevant information rather than displaying less important information first which would end up confusing us further down the road especially when there are multiple pages present in your spreadsheet or database.
