Integration of Odoo ERP Self Hosted and Mautic

Odoo is a cloud computing service that provides a set of business applications and infrastructure, and Mautic is an open-source email marketing platform.

Integration of Odoo ERP Self Hosted and Mautic is easy, and it can be done in five steps:

First, you need to create an API key for your Odoo account by going to Configuration > API > API Key (under the Integrations tab.

After creating the API key, you will need to add it to the Mautic configuration settings under Administration > Settings > Third Party Apps > Mautic API.

Next, log into your Mautic instance with your credentials. Under Campaigns > Add New Campaign > Add URL, enter the URL of your Odoo instance. This will be your Odoo instance domain name or IP address. You can also enter the IP address or domain name of any test site that you have created for testing purposes.

On the next page, you will need to connect your Odoo instance by providing the API key you created earlier. The API Key is the only required field on the next page. If you already added the API Key in your Odoo account, then you can directly click on Connect. Otherwise, you'll need to go back to your Odoo instance and add the API Key.

Once this is done, you can continue with setting up the rest of your integration options. On this page, you will see “Trigger Email” as an option. This is where you will specify what kind of events will trigger an email to be sent from Odoo to Mautic. There are four options available here. New Subscriber, Active Subscriber, Unsubscribed Subscriber, and Deleted Subscriber. To start with, go with Active Subscriber. Then select which Mautic campaigns will be triggered based on these events (only if they are enabled.

Now that you set up everything on your Odoo instance, it's time to configure some settings on the Mautic side of things. Go to Campaigns > Add New Campaign > Add URL under Company Settings on the left menu on the top of your Mautic dashboard (or click on Company Settings button on the top right corner. Now you will need to enter your Odoo instance URL again here along with choosing which campaign will be triggered for each action mentioned above (i.e., subscriber has become active, etc.. Once this is done, you can try sending a new contact form submission through your Odoo instance and check if it worked out by looking at the “Campaign Response” report on your Campaigns dashboard inside Mautic.

With this integration, all new contacts created on Odoo will appear as “Active Subscribers” in Mautic within five minutes. If there are no new contacts made on Odoo for over five minutes then all “Active Subscribers” in Mautic will become “Inactive Subscribers” after five minutes.

By integrating Odoo ERP Self Hosted and Mautic, you can easily send emails to your customers from an easy-to-use application without using any third party email marketing services.
