Notion is a top that allows the users to define how they want their content to be structured. It works on a tree-structure, where one can organize the content into different sections and sub-sections. Notion also has a search function that allows one to find what they are looking for. This search function does not only allow one to find text but also images and links. Notion also has a feature called Spaces. Spaces allow the user to separate their notes and make it feel like they have multiple notebooks in one place. Notion can also be used in different languages (English and German. The interface and the fonts and cpors of Notion can be adjusted. Users can also add tags and labels to their notes.
Harvest is a note-taking application that allows the user to add images and links easily. Harvest is only available in English (and no other language. It does not have a search function, nor can it be integrated with other applications like Notion. Harvest’s main focus is on writing and taking notes, which makes sense because it is mainly used by students. The design of Harvest is simple and clear and its interface is very easy to use and understand. There are some default templates but you can also create your own template.
Both applications have unique features which I think could be combined into one application that would offer more features than both existing applications together. One way of integrating these systems together is by having a search function in Notion that would allow the users to find notes from Harvest as well as any other apps or websites. Harvest would stay as it is now but Notion would gain the search functionality which would make both applications easier to use. One could also connect Harvest and Notion with other applications (Dropbox, Google Docs, etc.. and make it possible to share notes between all these applications.
I think that this integration could benefit everyone who uses either Notion or Harvest by making the note taking process much easier and making it possible to share notes across multiple systems. It would be beneficial for students because they wouldn’t have to switch between different applications to take notes and everyone who uses either one of these applications could benefit from the search function in Notion. I think this integration could also help people who struggle to remember things because they could use these applications to take notes and then use the search function to look at those notes when they need them later on.
