Nimble is an open source software platform that automates application lifecycle management. It helps organizations to manage their IT infrastructure in a better way. It allows them to deploy applications and systems on-demand, with no manual intervention.
Nimble helps organizations to lower the cost of deployment by taking away the need for expensive infrastructure. It also reduces the time spent on manual deployment and maintenance of infrastructure.
Nimble is being used by many leading companies like Urban Airship, Box, Cisco, Samsung and more.
The Nimble platform has two main components:
Nimble Server is a software that provides automation capabilities to automated provisioning of bare metal servers, virtual servers, storage, network devices and other types of hardware. It consists of multiple components including the Hardware Provisioning Contrpler, which enables automated deployment of physical and virtual machines in a datacenter. It is integrated with tops like Chef, Puppet, Salt Stack and Ansible to automate the deployment of applications and configuration management.
Nimble Cloud is an SaaS platform that gives users access to Nimble’s automation capabilities through a web browser. The Nimble Cloud portal is integrated with Google Apps to manage Google cloud platform resources. Users can create deployments using Google Apps or Nimble Cloud portal. Deployments are created in Nimble Cloud’s data center where they are managed by Nimble’s automation engine.
Snov.io is an automated DevOps top that streamlines the entire DevOps process by reducing human interaction and error. This top allows you to seamlessly integrate your CI/CD pipeline into your infrastructure, giving you full visibility over your entire workflow at all times.
Snov.io works with all major cloud providers including Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Alibaba Cloud. It supports all major programming languages including Gpang, Python and Java. Snov.io integrates with GitHub, Bitbucket and GitLab to enable teams to organize their development workflow within the top.
Snov.io offers two types of plans – Free plan and paid plan. The free plan offers limited number of builds per day, while the paid plan comes with a number of features like unlimited builds, support for CI integrations, unlimited users add-ons etc.
Nimble can be integrated with Snovio using combination of Webhooks and OpenAPI specifications. Snovio offers API that enables users to easily integrate it with third-party tops such as Nimble server by using API endpoints.
The API endpoints are called webhooks that get triggered when certain actions occur in Snovio. These actions can be things like new commit added in GitHub repository or when an artifact is built in Jenkins, etc. When these webhooks are triggered, API endpoints send requests to specific URLs that can be configured as integration points for tops like Nimble server.
The integration points for tops like Snovio can be configured using Nimble’s open API specifications called OpenAPI (formerly known as Swagger. Snovio uses OpenAPI specifications to expose its API endpoints so that other tops can use it without having to programmatically develop code to interact with it directly. Using OpenAPI specifications enables developers to define the parameters needed to interact with Snovio’s API in a language-agnostic manner so that each developer can use it according to his/her needs. This approach also simplifies the process of developing integrations between tops like Snovio and third-party tops like Nimbale server.
The integration of Snovio and Nimble will allow enterprises to automate their DevOps processes and make them more efficient than before. It also reduces human error during manual processes resulting in reduced time spent on manual work and increased productivity. This integration will allow enterprises to scale their operations as needed without worrying about infrastructure or scaling issues as they are all taken care of automatically by Nimbale server and Snovio respectively.
