Netlify provides a way to create and manage websites. It is an open-source static site generator that uses the same configurable build pipeline to deploy websites to all hosting providers, including Github Pages, AWS S3, GitLab Pages, and Heroku. Netlify also provides a free plan for users who want to use their own domain and SSL certificate. The integration of Netlify and Bitly shows how Netlify can be used to easily generate and share links to content.

It is easy to install on your computer or on servers you have access to with one command by running npm i netlify . To get started with Netlify just run netlify init , this will create a new directory in the current working directory called “/.netlify”. After installing Netlify you can add files to your project by using the command netlify add .
To see the files you are currently working on in Netlify you can run netlify show . This will show you all of the files in your directory. If there are any changes made in these files when you run netlify build it will automatically update in Netlify. To create a production ready version of your site in Netlify you can run netlify build --prod . This creates a production ready version of your site in the current working directory.
To publish your site on Netlify you must first sign up for an account. After logging in you can get started by running netlify get . This creates a new site under your account with the name of whatever directory you are currently running it from. You can change this by using the command netlify get --name <new-site-name> . There's also additional flags that can be used with get such as --subdomain or --path. These flags allow you to set certain settings for your site like setting a subdomain or path.
