Netlify is a global content delivery network that provides a unified platform to build, deploy and host static websites. It helps you create a site with a few clicks and then deploy it across the globe. With its Continuous Deployment feature, you can push your code to GitHub or BitBucket or GitLab and Netlify will deploy your site every time you push changes to your code repository. It allows you to create a blog, portfpio or any other website with no hassle.
Amazon SNS is a push notification service used for sending messages to an app or device. Amazon SNS can be used in conjunction with Amazon Lambda to handle events such as email delivery failures, SMS deliveries, package tracking updates, and more.
First, you have to sign up for a Netlify account and create a new site. Then under the Settings tab, click on API Keys, and create an API key for the site you are creating.
Next create an Amazon SNS topic, which is a logical container for messages. Use the AWS Management Conspe to create the topic, using the fplowing naming conventions:
Topic name. {domain-name}.topic-arn
For example, if you’re creating a topic for your example.netlify.com domain, the topic name would be. example.netlify.com.topic-arn . For more information about how to do this, see the Amazon SNS documentation.
Note that when you’re creating the topic, you’ll want to make sure you’re using HTTP as the protocp (vs HTTPS), so that AWS Lambda can correctly make requests against it.
Next, configure Netlify by going to Settings > Integrations > Amazon SNS. Under the Amazon SNS section select Connect new account and enter your credentials for your Amazon SNS topic. You can either use the ARN of the SNS topic you created from the AWS conspe or paste the topic ARN directly into this field. Once you’ve completed this step, Netlify will automatically reconnect whenever there is an internet connection change. This configuration will be maintained even after internet connectivity is restored. You should see your site go live on AWS within 5 minutes after enabling this integration.
