Integration of moosend and Zoho Invoice

Zoho and moosend. The two companies in the cloud business. They offer a variety of specialized services that can be integrated with each other. The integration is very useful for both companies and their customers.

  • Moosend is a service provider for sending emails. In order to make money from the e-mails, moosend offers a subscription based model where users can pay a monthly fee for sending unlimited emails. The pricing of moosend varies from country to country. It starts from $5 per month in US to $1 per month in India. However, it can be seen that moosend is a really low cost service for email marketing. For example, MailChimp charges around 40$per month while moosend charges only 1$.

    Zoho Invoice is a service provider for creating and managing invoices. In order to make money from the invoicing system, Zoho invoice charges a fixed price for each invoice created through its platform. It charges from $12 to $18 per invoice. Moreover, Zoho invoice has a free plan for unlimited invoices which makes it a viable option for small business owners who want to create an invoice but do not have a big budget for it.

    Integration of moosend and Zoho Invoice:

    Zoho Invoice has an API that can be used to integrate with third party services. Thus, it can be integrated with moosend by using moosend API endpoint URL. Zoho invoice takes the fields of an invoice as input. These fields are mentioned below:

    Billing Information. Billing Information contains the billing address of the customer who is paying the invoice. If this field is not present then the customer’s billing address is obtained from the CC file of the customer which is stored in Zoho invoice account.

    Shopping Information. Shopping Information contains information about products/items/services which are being charged. This is required so that invoice creator can provide details about products/items/services which are being charged on this invoice. This is required because moosend does not provide any information about products/items/services which were purchased by people who pay the invoice. Therefore, it is up to invoice creator to decide whether this information is important or not. If this field is not present then the invoice creator uses the description of the product/item/service as provided by the customer who is paying this invoice. This description is stored in Zoho invoice account under “Shopping Information” field of the customer.

    Price Information. Price Information contains currency and unit of currency (for example, currency could be “INR” and unit of currency could be “Rs”. which are being used to calculate the price of products/items/services being charged on this invoice. It also contains currency exchange rate which is used to convert currency into other currency if required. This field is required so that moosend can calculate price of products/items/services which are being charged on this invoice. This field is optional so that invoice creator can choose whether he wants to include this information or not. If this field is not present then moosend uses default currency which is stored in Zoho invoice account under “Default Currency” field of the customer.

    Total Amount. Total Amount contains currency and unit of currency (for example, currency could be “INR” and unit of currency could be “Rs”. which are being used to calculate total amount on this invoice. It also contains currency exchange rate which is used to convert currency into other currency if required. This field is required so that moosend can calculate total amount of products/items/services which are being charged on this invoice. This field is optional so that invoice creator can choose whether he wants to include this information or not. If this field is not present then moosend uses default currency which is stored in Zoho invoice account under “Default Currency” field of the customer and calculates total amount by multiplying default currency and price information mentioned under “Price Information” field.

    Invoice Number. Invoice Number contains sequence number of this particular invoice among all invoices created by the user who created it. This field is required so that moosend can associate this particular invoice with other invoices created by the same user and differentiate between them. If this field is not present then moosend uses invoice number 1 as it’s default value.

    Invoice Description. Invoice Description contains short description of this particular invoice among all invoices created by the user who created it. This field is optional so that invoice creator can choose whether he wants to include this information or not. If this field is present then it will be displayed as default text on Zoho Invoice payment page when customer pays his invoice online through Zoho Invoice payment gateway, as well as on PDF copy of the invoice which will be sent to customer as email attachment after payment by customer online through Zoho Invoice payment gateway or as email attachment after payment by customer offline through Zoho Invoice payment gateway or as email attachment after payment by bank transfer or as email attachment after payment by cheque or as a hardcopy mailed to customer after payment by cheque or as a hardcopy mailed to customer after payment by bank transfer or as a hardcopy mailed to customer after payment by cash. If this field is not present then the default text displayed on Zoho Invoice payment page when customer pays his invoice online through Zoho Invoice payment gateway, as well as on PDF copy of the invoice which will be sent to customer as email attachment after payment by customer online through Zoho Invoice payment gateway or as email attachment after payment by bank transfer or as email attachment after payment by cheque or as a hardcopy mailed to customer after payment by cheque or as a hardcopy mailed to customer after payment by bank transfer or as a hardcopy mailed to customer after payment by cash will be the same as billing address of the customer who is paying the invoice which will be obtained from CC file of the customer which is stored in Zoho invoice account.

    Billing Contact Name. Billing Contact Name contains contact information about person responsible for paying this particular bill along with his email address if he has provided one during signup process at Zoho Invoice website. If this field is not present then billing contact name will be same as first name of person responsible for paying this particular bill who will be obtained from CC file of the customer which is stored in Zoho invoice account. Email address will be updated with billing contact name if billing contact name contains an email address otherwise billing contact name will remain same as billing contact name discussed above.

    Billing Contact Email Address. Billing Contact Email Address contains contact information about person responsible for paying this particular bill along with his email address if he has provided one during signup process at Zoho Invoice website.
