  • Moonclerk is a top that enables you to link your Excel files with the Mooncoin blockchain. It allows you to create and verify Mooncoin transactions using Excel. It can also be used to handle large amounts of data and create graphs of information on the Mooncoin blockchain.

  • Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet program developed by Microsoft for Windows, macOS, Android and iOS. It features calculation, graphing tops, pivot tables, and a macro programming language called Visual Basic for Applications.

  • Moonclerk functions as a bridge between the Mooncoin blockchain and Microsoft Excel files. It connects as many as three files at a time. In order to use moonclerk, you must first download moonclerk from github by clicking on the “clone or download” button under the title. You then have to install the appropriate version of python on your computer. To see how to install python, check out this link. After you have installed python, you will need to open moonclerk in a command line window. To do this, go to the directory where moonclerk is located and type “python moonclerk.py”.     The next step is to create a new file using Microsoft Excel. To do this, click on “add new sheet” in the top left corner of the screen. Then, create a name for your spreadsheet and press “okay”. A new window should pop up containing an empty spreadsheet with cpumns labeled “ABC”, “DEF”, etc. The next step is to get your address from the Mooncoin blockchain. Click on the cell under “Address” in cpumn A. Press CTRL+C to copy this address to your clipboard. Next, open up the Mooncoin blockchain explorer and paste your address into the search bar at the top of the page. Click on “show info” under your address to view an array of information about your address. Click on “copy address to clipboard” near the top right of the screen to copy your address to your clipboard. Now that you have your address, click on the cell under “Address” in cpumn B. Press CTRL+C to copy it to your clipboard. Next, click on “paste” in the right corner of the screen. Your address should now appear in cpumn B. Click on “Add data set” in the top left corner of the screen. Then, click on “Evaluation” in the drop down menu that appears. Click on “value” in cell B1 and then click on “formula” in the top left corner of the screen below “function gallery”. Find the formula “=VLOOKUP(B1,$A$2:$A$70000,2)” in the list of functions and double click on it. This will insert this formula into cell B1. Click on “set options” in cell B1 and then select “manual input” under “range lookup option”. Type your Mooncoin address into cell B2 and press enter. This will fill in your Mooncoin address into cell B1. Click on “save changes” in cell B1 and then click on “next step” in the top right corner of the screen. The next step is to connect moonclerk to your spreadsheet file. Click on “connect file” in the top right corner of the screen and then click on “new workbook file” in the popup box that appears. A new popup box should appear with a list of files that are currently open on your computer (including spreadsheets you created in Microsoft Excel. Select your spreadsheet file in this list and click on “open” in the bottom left corner of the screen Heres what it should look like in moonclerk after you have connected all of your files. Your next step is to set up a new service provider in moonclerk by pressing “add new service provider” in the bottom right corner of the screen. You should then see a popup box appear asking you for a sequence number-type 200 into this box and click enter twice to close both boxes that appeared after entering this number. Once you have successfully added a new service provider, you can create a new transaction by pressing “create new transaction” in the bottom right corner of the screen. The last thing that needs to be done before creating a transaction is setting up a new service provider that you want to send funds from by pressing “add new service provider” again in the bottom right corner of the screen.
