Moonclerk is a web-based calendar and time management application designed for technical teams. A team of developers at Mozilla started this project in 2008 with the goal of creating a top that would allow Mozilla employees to communicate, organize and track their work. When the project was first launched, it was called “Mozilla Labs Timebase”. The product was released as an open source software, and soon after it was adopted by many others such as Wikimedia Foundation and RedHat.

Moonclerk is a free and open source time tracking and calendar application that is designed for teams who need to manage projects and track time. It is built on the latest HTML5 and Javascript technpogies. Some of its features include:

Moonclerk also provides integrated support for other services including Google Apps, JIRA, Dropbox, Evernote, Twitter, Howler, Github, Asana, Github issues, Redmine, Taskwarrior, Textboxr, Zenkit, Zendesk, Wekan, Bugzilla, Fogbugz, Pivotal Tracker, Taiga, Taiga boards, Jira boards, Trac etc. It allows users to create tasks with due dates directly from email messages or web links on GitHub or any other issue tracker. It supports multiple calendars on multiple devices. It allows you to either sync your calendar on the cloud or on your own server on your own servers. It also supports multiple languages. All Moonclerk data is stored offline on the device where you are using the app on. You can then choose to store that data in the cloud or not. If you choose to store your data in the cloud then you have unlimited storage space on Amazon S3.

Daylite is an online time tracking application that helps users manage their time more effectively by allowing them to track time spent on tasks, projects and clients. It offers three different ways of tracking time:

Standard Time Entry – where users can track time against tasks by entering how much time they spent on the task. They can also enter notes along with the task details.

Project Time Entry – where users can track time against projects by entering how much time they spent working on each project tasks. They can also enter notes along with the project details.

Time Sheet – where users can track standard time entry against individual clients or customers. They can also enter notes along with client details.

Users can view their timesheet reports online or export them as Excel spreadsheets. They can also generate invoices for their clients based on the reports they generate. Daylite makes it easy for freelancers to invoice their clients by providing auto-generated invoice templates for both recurring and one off projects. It also allows users to generate reports based on their timesheets like total hours worked per client per month etc. Users can also generate invoices based on these reports too. The reports are stored in your Daylite account which you can then export as PDF or CSV files or share with your clients using emails or via FTP uploads. Daylite offers many features including:
