In this tutorial I’ll show you how easy is to integrate Monkey Learn with Instagram Lead Ads, and after reading this tutorial you’ll have a good understanding of the integration between these two platforms because I’ll explain every single step required in order to make this happen.

Instagram Lead Ads

Instagram Lead Ads are ads created through Facebook that allow us to get leads from Instagram that we can later import into our CRM or manually process them using a form generated by Facebook, for example. These ads can be shown on Instagram stories and within the Instagram app directly. They can also be shown on Facebook, Messenger and Audience Network just like normal Facebook Ads (Text Ads and Image Ads. The main difference between Instagram Lead Ads and regular Facebook Ads is that Instagram Lead Ads are created through Facebook and they target people who already fplow your company’s Instagram account and are interested in what you’re doing in it, while Facebook Ads target people who haven’t yet fplowed your company’s Instagram account and may not even know about it yet. So, Instagram Lead Ads are very useful for a business that already has an Instagram account and wants to grow its fplowing, but it’s not so useful for brands that don’t have an Instagram account yet because they need to create one first in order to take advantage of this feature.

You can see other differences between these two types of ads here. You can create both types simultaneously, but I recommend creating one type first so that you can figure out how it works with your business and then move on to the other one if needed. If you decide to go with Instagram Lead Ads instead of creating your own landing pages or forms, you won’t be able to leverage any email marketing automation or data analytics services because those services are designed to work with emails rather than phone numbers or usernames, but you still may be able to use some basic advice from these services because they usually provide some tips on how to optimize a landing page or an email template first before getting into more complex things such as segmentation or A/B tests. Also, make sure you read this article in order to learn how to avoid common mistakes with these ads. Finally, if you have a Facebook Business page already created, you may want to create your own ad instead of using Facebook Lead Ads because they offer less parameters than if you create your own ad through the Facebook Power Editor. If you don’t have a Facebook Business Page yet but want to go ahead with it anyway, please read this article first in order to learn how to set up a Facebook Business Page properly so that you don’t end up wasting time or money on it without realizing why it happened. After setting up your Facebook Business Page, you should create a Facebook Ad Account by fplowing the steps below. Go to facebook.com/ads/create/ Set up your account with your business information Fplow the steps listed above in order to set up a new ad campaign Now that we’ve understood how both types of ads work, let’s start integrating Monkey Learn with Instagram Lead Ads. We are going to start by creating an A/B test that integrates both platforms, so take a look at this article first if you haven’t done it yet. If you have already integrated them together then skip this part and go straight to the second section where we create the A/B test. Step 1. Create an API Key on the Monkey Learn Platform To start working with our Monkey Learn API Key we need to go to “My Account” > “API Keys” > “Create API Key” > “Create New API Key” which will take us to the fplowing screen. On this screen we need to select “Public API key” option as seen below. Now we need to give our API Key a name such as “MonkeyLearn_Test_APIKey” as seen below. Make sure you save your API Key somewhere safe because we won’t be able to retrieve it after saving it for the first time. Once we are done clicking “Create API Key”, we should receive confirmation about our new API key as seen in the image below. After creating the API Key we will see something similar to this image below. Now we need to copy our API Key and paste it inside the file “test_app_api_key.txt” which can be found at “test_app/test_key” fpder in your project directory as seen below. We won’t need this file anymore after completing this step so feel free to delete it afterward if necessary. Once we have copied our API Key into the correct location in our project directory we need to restart our App Server so that it detects our newly added file containing our API Key. Step 2. Create an App on the MONKEY LEARN Platform Now we need to log into our MonkeyLearn account and create an app by going to “My Account” > “Apps” > “New App” > “Create New App” as seen below. After logging into our account we will see something similar to this image below. On this screen we need to give our app a name such as “MonkeyLearn_Test_App” as seen below. We also need to choose if we want other users besides ourselves to be able access this app as seen below. Finally, we need to choose which type of app we want based on what purpose we will use it for and what type of data we want to include inside it in case we want multiple types of data such as Text data, Images data, Audio data, etc., as seen in the image below. Once we are done choosing all the required fields for our app we will see something similar to this image below. Now we need to click on “Save Changes” button so that our new app is created successfully as seen in the image below. Step 3. Create an Experiment Now that we have created our app inside MonkeyLearn platform we need to go back into our current project directory (the fpder where the main file of our project is located. and open up a terminal window inside of it by pressing Ctrl + Shift + T .
