MongoDB is a leading NoSQL database platform used by many organizations to manage data. It is an open-source software available on Linux, Windows and OS X operating systems. It was originally created by 10gen, Inc., a company founded by the developers of MySQL as a document-oriented database program. It was subsequently acquired by MongoDB Inc. in 2014. MongoDB is written in C++ and JavaScript. MongoDB is a cross-platform document-oriented database system, which uses JSON-like documents with dynamic schemas. “The document model provides key-value pairs and arrays, similar to other NoSQL databases such as CouchDB and Redis.” (Wikipedia 2017)

In this section, I will talk about how to integrate MongoDB and Kanban Top. First of all we need to install MongoDB on our machine. For installing MongoDB on my machine, I fplowed the instructions given in this link https://docs.mongodb.com/manual/installation/. Once you have installed MongoDB successfully, move on to the next step. We have installed the MongoDB successfully. Now we need to install kanban Top on our machine. For installing Kanban Top on my machine, I fplowed the instructions given in this link https://www.kanbantop.com/downloads/. Once you have installed Kanban Top successfully, move on to the next step. After installing both software we need to create a database called “kanban” using mongo shell on your machine. Here is the command which I used to create a database named “kanban” using mongo shell:
Now our can start using Kanban Top which allows us to create projects, assign tasks to team members, track task statuses and so much more. But the problem is that we cannot use any third party connectors with kanban Top because it does not support any connector. So now we need to move on to the second part of this article where we will try to find out if there are any connectors which are compatible with mongodb or can be integrated with mongodb. The answer is YES! There are some connectors which can be integrated with mongodb easily to interact with other software like kanban Top. My personal favorite connector is Syncfusion Data Services for Mongo DB because it is easy to use and it has a free trial version as well so you can test it before paying for it.
The process to integrate MongoDB and kanban Top may seem complicated and intimidating. This is why Appy Pie Connect has come up with a simple, affordable, and quick spution to help you automate your workflows. Click on the button below to begin.
