To support the integration of monday.com and Google Contacts, there are three main parts that need to be considered:
The User Interface Design of monday.com and Google Contacts Integration
The user interface design of monday.com and Google Contacts integration is developed based on the usability testing results in order to find out what users need in this process and how their needs should be satisfied by the design. In this test, we found that users want a way to share their contacts from one platform to another in a fast and easy way, but they also want to choose if their contacts in a specific platform will be used in other platforms or not. The interface design of monday.com and Google Contacts integration should meet these requirements in order to meet the expectations of users in this process. In addition, users need a way to choose if their contacts in a specific platform will be used in other platforms or not in order to have contrp over the privacy issues since some users may not want to share their contacts from one platform to another in a fast and easy way due to privacy issues. In the fplowing paragraphs, I will explain the interface design of each step of the integration process. capturing details, sharing contacts between users, setting up a new account from one platform to another, and checking the privacy settings of the integration process.
In order to capture the details of monday.com and Google Contacts integration, I use a form that allows users to input the fplowing details. user name, password, email address, phone number, company name, and company description; After users fill out these details, they can click on “Next” button to move on to the next page which displays the fplowing. “Share contacts between users. Yes” and “Share contacts between platforms. Yes”. If users choose “Yes” for “Share contacts between users. Yes”, then their contacts from monday.com will be shared with other users who have integrated with monday.com using Buddy platform; If users choose “Yes” for “Share contacts between platforms. Yes”, then their contacts from Google Contacts will be shared with other users who have integrated with monday.com using Buddy platform; If users choose “No” for “Share contacts between users. Yes” and/or “Share contacts between platforms. Yes”, then their contacts from monday.com and Google Contacts will not be shared with other users who have integrated with monday.com using Buddy platform; If users choose “No” for “Share contacts between users. Yes” but yes for “Share contacts between platforms. Yes”, then their contacts from Google Contacts will be shared with other users who have integrated with monday.com using Buddy platform but their contacts from monday.com will not be shared with other users who have integrated with monday.com using Buddy platform; If users choose “No” for both “Share contacts between users. Yes” and “Share contacts between platforms. Yes”, then neither their contacts from monday.com nor Google Contacts will be shared with other users who have integrated with monday.com using Buddy platform; Users may also choose whether to include all their own contacts or selected contacts in this integration process or if they do not want any of their contacts to be included in this process by choosing “None of my Contacts” option under the list box “Select Your Contacts for Sharing”; After users have chosen whether or not they want their contacts from monday.com or Google Contacts to be used in Buddy platform they need to click on “Save Changes” button at the bottom corner of the screen in order to finish this step of the integration process; The next step is sharing contacts between two or more users who have integrated with monday.com using Buddy platform; After clicking on “Next” button, the system asks the fplowing questions. “Who Is Sharing Contact Details With You?”, then it displays a list box where users can select other accounts that they want to integrate with; After selecting other accounts that they want to integrate with they need to click on “Save Changes” button at the bottom corner of the screen in order to finish this step of the integration process; The last step is setting up new accounts from monday.com or Google Contacts platforms into Buddy platform; When the system detects that someone has created new accounts using monday.com platform or Google Contacts platform, it asks if it should import these new accounts based on affirmative answers provided by these users; After clicking on “Import New Account” button, then the system asks which account should be imported into Buddy platform; When importing an account into Buddy platform, there are two options available. 1. importing all accounts details into Buddy system / 2. importing selected accounts into Buddy system; When importing all accounts details into Buddy system, all accounts details including names, emails, phone numbers, companies names, addresses etc are imported into Buddy system; When importing selected accounts into Buddy system, only selected accounts details including names, emails, phone numbers etc are imported into Buddy system; After clicking on “Import Accounts Into Buddy Platform” button then it asks whether or not it should check if these new accounts are already integrated into monday.com or Google Contacts; If these new accounts are already integrated into monday.com or Google Contacts then selecting no action will cause these accounts to be duplicated into Buddy system; If these new accounts are not already integrated into monday.com or Google Contacts then selecting yes action will cause these accounts to be de-duplicated; After clicking on “Import Accounts Into Buddy Platform” button then it asks whether or not it should check if these new accounts are already integrated into monday.com or Google Contacts; If these new accounts are already integrated into monday.com or Google Contacts then selecting yes action will cause these accounts to be duplicated into Buddy system; If these new accounts are not already integrated into monday.com or Google Contacts then selecting no action will cause these accounts to be de-duplicated; After clicking on “Import Accounts Into Buddy Platform” button then it asks whether or not it should change the default phone number(s. for these new accounts; If the default phone number(s. should be changed then selecting yes action will cause these accounts to change its default phone number(s); If the default phone number(s. should not be changed then selecting no action will cause these accounts not to change its default phone number(s); After clicking on “Import Accounts Into Buddy Platform” button then it asks whether or not it should change the default emails for these new accounts; If the default emails should be changed then selecting yes action will cause these accounts to change its default email(s); If the default emails should not be changed then selecting no action will cause these accounts not to change its default email(s); After completing all previous steps successfully then this screen pop-up message appears as below for user confirmation before closing this screen:
