In April 2008, MPAA studios filed a lawsuit against Miro and its founders under US copyright law for providing links to websites that offer illegally copied movies and other copyrighted works for download. In response to this action, Miro removed links to sites hosting any sort of copyrighted content.[28] Richard Stallman expressed his opinion that this decision is “deeply wrong” while noting that “I don’t think you can avoid that kind of legal risk if you are running a site that allows users to post links”.[29] Richard Stallman commented that Miro appeared to be an attempt to make money based on the popular adware model.[30]

Integration of Miro and Odoo ERP Self Hosted

Might help in addressing pain points in many ways:

  • Direct integration with mail sending services like Gmail , Yahoo mail etc…This would make it much easier to send out emails when orders are placed without resorting to using an external email service provider like Sendgrid etc…It will also make it very easy to integrate with any other email service provider which might come up in future . This will not only save us time but also reduce costs associated with maintaining multiple mail servers . We have recently started moving out servers to cloud infrastructure to take advantage of economies of scale . Odoo has already developed plugins which will enable us to do just that . See https://github.com/odoo/odoo/wiki/Mail-Sending-Plugin for details b . The ability to integrate with Google Calendar /Outlook calendar directly would allow us to remove another server from our infrastructure . We use Google Calendar extensively for scheduling tasks , meetings , appointments etc… c. The ability to integrate with third party services like Dropbox , Box , One Drive etc.. would allow us to move some of our files directly to those storage services . We could also use those services as repositories for our data d. The ability to perform bulk updates on thousands of records at one go will save us a lot of time as we currently do for some critical tasks manually . e. The ability to export data directly into CSV files will allow us to use this data anywhere we want f.
