Integration of Miro and Google Sheets

I think it is very important for Google to allow Miro to be the first media player to be integrated with Google Sheets. Media players like VLC or iTunes can be used as well, but Miro has a specific feature that I believe will make it ideal for Google Sheets. integration of podcasts and audiobooks into the same file. I will elaborate on this later in the article.

  • Integration of Miro and Google Sheets
  • The first thing that needs to happen is that Miro needs to create an API (Application Programming Interface. for Google Sheets. This API will allow users to import their podcast subscriptions from Miro and export them as a spreadsheet. It should work as fplows:

    • A user logs into Miro through their Google account.
    • The user's Miro playlists appear as a cpumn in Google Sheets. If the user has more than one playlist, they will appear as separate cpumns.
    • The user selects a podcast and hits "Import." They then select the first cell in the first cpumn and hit "Import."
    • The first cell should then contain a link to the podcast's RSS feed. The URL will look something like https://feeds.feedburner.com/MiroPodcastName
    • When the user clicks on the link, they are prompted to authorize Miro to access their Google account. If they are already logged into Miro, they are immediately redirected to Google Sheets with the podcast added to their playlist. If they are not logged into Miro, they are presented with a login screen where they can log into their Google account.
    • After logging in, they are immediately redirected to Google Sheets with the podcast added to their playlist. If they are not already logged into Google Sheets, they will be presented with a login screen where they can log into their Google account.
    • The user then adds more podcasts by repeating steps 3-6.
    • When finished adding podcasts, the user selects "Export" at the top of Google Sheets.
    • This will prompt them for a name for their spreadsheet. They can enter anything they want, but it is good practice to keep the file names consistent so that others can easily find them.
    • They then select "Download" and wait for it to download to their computer. It is very important that users are given options on how large of files they would like to download (a minimum of 1 MB. Users who are on limited data plans (such as those on mobile devices. should not have to download huge files that fill up their entire plan. If they do not care about how big the file is, then there should be an option to simply download all files regardless of size.
    • If they choose to do so, this will prompt them for a location (such as an external hard drive or an external USB drive. They should specify where they want the file saved and wait for it to finish downloading (it may take several hours depending on how many podcasts they have chosen to download.
    • Once done downloading, the user may open the file with any text editor (Google Docs works just fine. They may change whatever they wish within the spreadsheet. However, some people may want to export the file again if they decide there was something wrong with what they did. This is why it is important for them to keep the file names consistent so that others can easily find them. For example, if they first called their file "My Podcast List," then anyone who wants to find it again may search for the term "My Podcast List" in Google Drive and directly locate it in their account. This way, if someone else wanted to add the podcasts from another person's spreadsheet back into theirs, it would be extremely easy and quick.

  • Benefits of Integration of Miro and Google Sheets
  • I think that this integration will be beneficial in a number of ways:

    • People who use Miro will be able to add podcasts much faster than before because they do not have to figure out how to add each podcast individually. Instead, all they have to do is add one podcast at a time and when finished add "export" at the top and complete the steps after that (there is no need for them to even leave Miro. There will also no longer be a need for people who use Miro to jot down notes about which podcasts they want to add; instead, all that needs to be done is simple copying and pasting between apps (no more jotting down notes. These benefits will make it easier for people who use Miro and podcasts together (such as students. to stay organized and complete their assignments quickly and efficiently.
    • For people who use podcasts and audiobooks together (such as students), this will make it much easier for them to stay organized. With this integration, all podcasts and audiobooks will appear in one place making organization much simpler. There will also no longer be a need to transfer audio files from one app to another; instead, everything can simply be imported from one app into another making it much simpler and quicker for students who listen to podcasts while studying or while writing papers or other assignments. In addition, many people who listen to audiobooks while commuting or during other activities may wish to add podcasts from their favorite authors or publishers because these podcasts often include bonus content such as interviews with the authors themselves or extended versions of scenes from their books. Not only does this integration make it easier for students to get through schop faster, but anyone else who listens to audiobooks or podcasts can benefit from this integration as well because it makes organization much simpler. This integration would greatly benefit students who listen to podcasts while studying or while writing papers because it would make organization much simpler and quicker.
